Before micro-teaching, I talked with my teacher about that day's lesson. Firstly, I told her about my weaknesses in teaching complex grammar topics. She recommended using an inductive way to explain new and complex lessons. It helps to increase critical thinking activities and problem-solving. And she emphasized several reliable and effective books and online sites for Grammar. Such as English Grammar in Use (Murphy), Grammar way according to my students' levels. She said: "Besides, BBC learning English website provides me with ready lesson plans, grammar rules and exercises based on that". These pieces of advice are undoubtedly useful to every future teacher. Surely, I will use it in the real teaching sphere.

For the first question of the observation, I got two positive and satisfactory answers, but a teacher suggested checking the answers altogether and not just sharing the answers myself orally. In this way, I could have increased their participation in the lesson. The second question was answered positively by all teachers. In the third one, they mentioned that students had some challenges to tackle last activity. And a teacher emphasized that group work worked better than individual work. Due to the observation answers, the lesson fits the school authority's demands.

Teaching grammar is not an easy task, particularly when it comes to complex topics. I faced several challenges in teaching the Perfect tenses and my students struggled to differentiate them. To explore the reasons behind these difficulties, I gathered data through informal conversations with my teacher, a survey with students and a lesson observation. I learned that implementing paper-based and online grammar activities, group-work tasks, and well-structured handouts can ease my grammar teaching challenges and also accommodate my students’ diverse learning styles. In this presentation, I will discuss the effective ways I learned from exploratory action research that could be used to teach complex grammar topics and share my experiences of successfully using them in the classroom.
