Synopsis – A black comedy about a young man, William, who becomes the leader of a small cult to avoid paying taxes. When a tax fraud investigator is sent to inspect his cult, William must do everything he can to stop any disruption of his plans.

William – A rich, party-boy who leads a small cult of 3 young women. William is cool and charismatic, but slightly impatient and hostile at times. He is very often under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the film. William is tested as a by-the-book investigator is sent to his cult to determine if William is committing tax fraud.

The Maenads – 3 young women and members of William’s cult. Their names are Thalia, Clio and Cali. Thalia gets the most screentime, Clio and Cali get about the same. The three of them are under the influence of LSD for almost the entire film. They start out as silly and clueless young woman who are just having a good time but become more violent and even bloodthirsty by the end of the film.

Lewis – A no-nonsense tax fraud investigator who is visiting the cult to perform an audit. He begins to dislike William and the Maenads from the moment he meets them and becomes the antagonist at the end of the film. He is uptight and rigid in his duties and doesn’t trust the cult.

MARTIN; In-person audition needed - Your typical Irish country DJ, he has an upbeat and friendly radio persona. Needs to be able to convey visible discomfort. Martin has the most screentime by far as he is in pretty much every scene.

GERRY; In-person preferred - The mild mannered winning contestant. His calm demeanour, prolific knowledge of the morbid quiz questions and strange requests make Martin incredibly uncomfortable. Gerry's screentime is much less than Martin, most of his dialogue comes from VO but he has a few in person scenes towards the end of the film.

(90-Second Virtual Production Shoot)

I am looking for two male actors in their 20s/30s for a 90-second WWII short, shot in an indoor virtual production suite at the Belfast campus of Ulster University. This production offers the opportunity to wear and act in authentic, original American WWII uniforms and paraphernalia. The shoot is scheduled for the second week of April.

- Marco – A battle-hardened yet deeply compassionate medic, carrying more weight on his shoulders than he lets on. (5’7” – 5’8”, average/medium build.)

- Thomas – A sharp-witted and fearless infantryman, masking his softer side behind bravado. (6’0” – 6’2”, average/medium build.)

This is an unpaid production, but I will personally reimburse actors for travel expenses/gas money if required. The heights of the actors are pivotal as you would need to be able to fit into the uniforms.

'AUGH!! GUTTERBALL!!!' is one of those dreams, and follows Eva, a young baker who tries her best to make her signature blueberry scones. However, she is surrounded by indifferent audience members who simultaneously ignore her and get in her way.

Her baking show also takes place in a bowling alley. (Don't worry about that)

Filming will take place in late March over a single day in the Foyle Arts building on Magee Campus.

EVA (Age Range 18-22) - A young, plucky baker who tries her best to put on a smile despite the surreal chaos plaguing her.

AUDIENCE MEMBERS (Age Range 18-30) - Indifferent audience members who ignore Eva while simultaneously getting in her way. Non-speaking role.
