From this topic, I have learned that there are specific manners that guide the relationship between a student and the teacher, all of which should begin with good intentions. For example, we should speak politely, face our body towards the teacher, and recite a prayer before starting the lesson. This shows that every action depends on one’s intention.

Furthermore, having proper manners towards the Book of Revelation includes performing ablution (wudu’) before reciting it, facing the qibla, and placing the holy book in a higher position than the floor as a sign of respect.

The reflection for this week is that I have gained a deeper understanding of the learning objectives, especially about the Pillars of Islam, which consist of five principles:

The declaration of faith (Syahadah)
Performing the five daily prayers
Giving alms (Zakat)
Fasting during Ramadan (Sawm)
Performing pilgrimage to Makkah (Hajj)

In addition, I also learned about the Pillars of Iman, which include:

Belief in the Oneness of Allah
Belief in the Angels
Belief in the Divine Books of Revelation
Belief in the Prophets
Belief in the Hereafter
Belief in Qada’ and Qadr (Divine Decree and Destiny)

Through this lesson, I have realized that understanding and practising these pillars strengthen not only our faith but also our discipline, sincerity, and sense of responsibility as Muslims. It reminds me that true faith is shown through action and good manners in daily life.

This week, my team and I were chosen to present a topic about one of the Pillars of Iman, which is belief in the Qimah (the Day of Judgement). From this topic, I learned that every action we do in this world will be judged by Allah, and we will receive reward or punishment in the Hereafter. It reminds me to live with sincerity, do good deeds, and always be prepared for the life after death.

This week, I learned about the Day of Resurrection, which includes topics such as Alam Barzakh, Alam Mahsyar, and the signs of Qiyamah — both minor and major. I also learned that during that day, all of our good and bad deeds will be shown. This reminds me to always do good, seek forgiveness, and prepare myself for the Hereafter. In addition,i also learned about Ihsan. The explanation is as follows:

Be diligent in performing ibadah and do not do it carelessly.
Perform ibadah as if you can see Allah, or at least believe that Allah is always watching you.
Act with kindness, compassion, and integrity in all situations.

From this topic, I learned that Ihsan is about doing every act sincerely for the sake of Allah and always striving to be the best version of ourselves, both in worship and in character.

I hope that this program will give more benefits to students who are trying to strengthen their Islamic knowledge so that they become more aware of its importance. My experience in this usrah has genuinely helped me to gain more friends and strengthen the bond among the members. Indeed, the word usrah itself reflects the true meaning of family.
