         <title>Layers of the Earth</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This diagram shows the different layers of the Earth. There are the crust, mantle, and core. The crust is spilt into the oceanic crust and the continental crust. The oceanic crust is thinner, but denser and is the crust below the ocean. Continental Crust is less dense, but thicker and makes up the continents. The mantle is made of hot peridotite rock and is spilt into the lower and upper mantle. The core is split into the inner and outer core. It is made of iron and nickel and is why Earth has a magnetic field. The inner core is a solid, but the outer core is a liquid. The asthenosphere is made of the upper mantle and is solid, but it can flow and bend.          <title>Seafloor Spreading</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Seafloor spreading is the process of how the seafloor expands. As you can see in the picture, magma comes up from the mantle and pushes the current seafloor away. It creates new seafloor. This causes continental drift.          <title>Tectonic Plates</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Tectonic plates are sections of the lithosphere that sink into the asthenosphere. You can find the borders of the plates by tracking the epicenters (the place directly above the where there is an earthquake). Seismometers measure ground shaking and are used for recording earthquakes. Earthquakes occur when plates come in contact with each other. They can move away, toward, or slide past each other. Plate boundaries are the place that two plate come together. There are three types of plate boundaries; divergent, convergent, and transform. Lots of geological activity happens at plate boundaries. Plates only move a few centimeters a year. Tectonic plates move because of convection in the mantle.          <title>Geodes</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Geodes are rocks that look normal on the outside, but look beautiful on the inside. They have a lining of minerals, usually quartz, on the inside. Above that, there is usually a lining of translucent gray and white agate. Geodes can have a rainbow of colors and varieties inside. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Fool&#39;s Gold</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fool's gold is also called pyrite and looks almost exactly like gold but is worth nothing compared to real gold. Even though they may look the same, there are many easy tests that you can perform that will let you tell the difference. Pyrite will usually have tarnish on it, but real gold is always bright and shiny. Pyrite has a brass-like color and gold is always golden yellow.
