It was very hostile all the way back to the ancient world. Hitler blamed the Jews for Germany losing WWI, which presumably led to his strong Anti-Semitic feelings. The Nazi Revolution began in 1933, and led all the way up until 1939, when the second World War started. In September 1939, The German army occupied the western half of Poland. German police forced thousands of Polish Jews from their homes into ghettos, which sort of seemed to lead into the Holocaust. Seventy-thousand disabled Germans were selected to be gassed in the Euthanasia Program. Holocaust death and concentration camps lasted for 5 years, from 1941 to 1945. Over 6 million Jews were murdered over this time. As the Nazi rule came to an end, the Holocaust still claimed lives.
