I have been living and working as an expatriate since 1993, when I left Canada to take up my first academic position in Bishkek, Kyrghyzstan. To date, I have visited almost 90 countries. You can imagine how 'depressed' I am with the Covid travel restrictions. But I hope that our zoom sessions together will simulate being in Lebanon, Egypt, and Libya.
