The purpose of this tool is to keep a classroom blog (almost like elc) to inform students about curricular activities, homework, upcoming projects, and announcements.
Edublogs
The benefits to using a blog website rather than elc is the ability to have students comment directly on the site if they have questions or need clarification. The teacher has complete control over all the content in student blogs. You can set things up so that you approve all student posts and comments before they are ever seen publicly which keeps the learning environment safe and proactive.

She would have students listen to the podcast at the beginning of the week based on a true story that related to the class content then after a quiz would open with a five point multiple chose question to make sure the students understood the content.

An interactive poster is an online image that allows students to activate sections of the poster to reveal text and watch videos helpful to course material provided by the teacher. My teacher utilized Buncee.
Buncee
This tool is great for teaching content which is why my teacher used it for creating lectures. She would have multiple photos related to in class material that once clicked on will bring the student to text information, embedded videos, audio recordings, and links to related articles. The slides can be organized in PowerPoint-style slideshow that can be delivered as a regular presentation or navigated independently by the user. This allows students to go back through the lecture after at their own pace to better understand and learn the material.

Essays are a majority of college and having helpful tools available to you are essential for creating a well written paper. My teacher uses these following tools to help students get the help they need to structure their papers and create good thesis statements.
Ginger
This tool is used after your paper is finished and acts as a last and final edit to correct punctuation, grammar, and word usage and suggests corrections.
BoomWriter
BoomWriter is a tool that allows students to collaboratively write. This tool was used to help students better develop their thesis statements and get feed back from the teacher and other students on how to improve their original work.
Google Doc
This tool is best for teacher comments on the writing prosses of students papers. Instead of getting feedback and suggestions from the teacher once the paper is complete. As students are writing their paper the teacher is able to go in and add suggestions during the creation process.

This C exemplifies effective collaboration allowing students to work with one another to make decisions, explore new concepts,
solve problems and create new ides. For the look inside a life y teacher utilized two of these tools, Miro and Padlet to enhance student collaboration.
Miro
The teacher uses this tool for group assignments where students can brainstorm together on a virtual whiteboard. Students can simultaneously work on the same board, writing notes, attaching files, pasting in images, and embedding videos. While they do this, they can also participate in either a written chat or video chat on this tool, making it a very proactive way to virtually plan a presentation when no in class time is given (in my classes case).
Padlet
This tool is another online whiteboard where you can pin notes, pictures, files, and links to other places. Padlet is great for smaller-scale collaboration. In my teachers case she uses this to great online discussions in preparation for tests where students are able to reply to other questions and post helpful links they found on the internet to help clarify questions that other students may have. This is a great tool for group studying.

Connecting Teachers

One item related to connecting to other teachers that use one or more of the tools I have listed would be to join and be apart of the National Blogging Collaborative. Which is a teacher network focused on helping other teachers learn how to blog, and is now mentoring other teachers. I think using blogs for organizing class schedules is super proactive and all teachers should use this.

Another approach is through social medial. The hashtag, #WhyITeach is used to encourage teachers to share their stories of purpose. These testimonies about why teachers do what they do are a great way to keep teachers connected and up to date on things other teachers are doing and why.
