We have these centers for students to make connections of what they read to their experiences. When we are working on something with technology they never stay on task. I can’t hover over them. So, how do I keep them on task. I hold them accountable and grade their work, but they don’t care.

Centers allow the students to work on areas that they need to improve on independently. Centers allow them the time to practice new and old skills. ; I personally struggle with building center activities through the gradually release process within my mini lesson/direct instruction (the flow). How do you get students to work on learning tasks that are DOK 4 level (creating and thinking), instead of “identify”. -Brandy
