So whoever used it against a person must've had it on them at the time, it must've been a planned attack since there were no blood trailings ain the house or near the back door.
On the second peice of evidence their blood splatters in the grass, identifying that one or two people must've been fighting for a while since the blood is a darker shade, then it usually is when it is fresh. Also there are two blood splatters one of them next to the knife and the over further away, showing that the fight was being pushed around the garden. The third peice of evidence was the backdoor as it was ajar that shows that someone must've entered the house to either attack or defend themselves.

Additionally, the blood on the back of the knife shows that he must've swung backwards to have the amount of blood on that oneside. Since there is just a little droplet of blood on the front of the knife. As the offender has climbed through the window they have knocked the ornament over to its side where it has smashed leading to believe that this was the place of entry.
The hole in the door is situated on the inside of the kitchen door suggesting that there was a violent altercation between two people. 
On the second piece of evidence, a chefs knife is hidden under the garden shrub as the offender has tried to discard of the weapon quickly as they have fled the scene in a rush.
The third piece of evidence is showing a knife set missing a knife, indicating that this is the place where the weapon has come from. So whoever had used this knife, it must’ve been an unintentional attack where they have grabbed the nearest thing to them. 
Fourth piece of evidence shows blood splatter down the kitchen cupboard. As the blood splatter is going in the direction of the floor it indicates that the offender has slashed the victim instead of stabbing.
Under a plant in the garden is where a tea towel from the kitchen has been found covered in blood. The blood pattern on the towel suggests that it has been used to clean up the scene or has been used to wipe the blood off of the weapon.
The last piece of evidence was also found in the garden. A bag of white powder was found laying on the grass suggesting that it has fallen out of a pocket/bag. The second photo shows a scape of the area around the possible murder weapon, including the gate. The weapon was found under a trailer by the gate as seen to be an attempt to try and hide the weapon. The second photo shows blood down the corner of a worktop this can suggest many conclusions about the crime, the perpetrator could have pushed the victim causing them to hit their head or other part of the body on the worktop and then stab the victim perhaps to make sure they were dead, another conclusion could be that the perpetrator surprised the victim stabbed them which caused them to fall onto the corner of the worktop at which they proceeded to drag the body out of the room into perhaps an escape vehicle. The third photo shows the blood drag marks across the floor. The fourth photo shows broken glass from a window where the perpetrator perhaps broke into the victims house, as seen in the picture there is blood on the glass this could be either the victims or the perpetrators, the blood seems the only cover a few shards suggesting that it is not from the dragging of the victim and perhaps blood from the hand of the perpetrator from when the window was smashed, however this can be tested through DNA tests between the blood on the glass and blood found in other areas. we can test the glass for any left over particles from a potential object used to break the glass or fabric particles that may have been left behind if the perpetrator used some kind of covering of the hand. When taking this image the weather was bright and sunny. From this point of view the scene is looking to have been a robbery gone wrong however there are no signs of struggle from the victim. The scene is overall very organised which indicates that there was no struggle from the victim, this means that the offender could have attacked the victim suddenly so that they did not have any time to respond to the oncoming assault.

The close up image from the front door shows the missing piece of the door frame from where it was broken into. The object used would have been small and sharp to break the door open on its own. On the other close up image it shows again the missing piece of the door frame along with a scratch along the metal lock of the door. Meaning it took a few attempts to break in the door even with the object they had used. When taking these images the weather was sunny. The mid range shots show the distance from the front door to the side of the kitchen to where the keys were stolen. The ‘replacement’ keys sitting on the side of the kitchen show where they would have been sitting when they were broken into. Nothing has been knocked over or moved making it seem as they were only there for the car keys and left, not leaving anything behind.
