I did enjoy the simulation because it was a different environment and I enjoyed speaking through google classroom and clicking the links to videos that gave us directions.
1) I do not enjoy staying cooped up in a house all day.  I think that it is a good idea to learn about the world and to be socially interactive. 
2) I would not like to learn on my own. Being at home with no other child your age, learning things you may not understand is not my idea of a fun education. 
3) You may not have noticed this yet, but you are learning about much more than math and reading when you are at school.  When you are around other children you are always learning how to become better at your communication skills and how to make new friends. A robotic teacher would not teach you life lessons that you can learn from being in a classroom with other kids. 
4) Boring! I think that having a robotic teacher would be so much more boring without an awesome teacher like Ms. Barrow to make learning enjoyable. 
Aside from the negatives, here are some positive things about the simulation. :)
1) As Abby Hooper  said, It would be pretty cool to go to "school" in your pajamas. There is a whole lot more freedom having a robotic teacher.

THE SIMULATION

I think there is pros and cons to this concept. There is robotic teachers which might no be that good because, it might not be able to elaborate on what you learn. You would not make any friends at school either. Another con is that your face would be glued to the screen 5 days a week, and that can cause damage to your eyes.Also your robotic teacher might not be able to get all your questions by your teacher. You would also have a problem if you computer broke down or the power went out. Also some people might not be able to afford a computer. A pro is that you stay home which takes away transportation and hurrying in the morning.  Another pro is that you would be saving paper because, all your work will be stored digitally. I think we are already on our way to saving everything digitally on Google Drive. I agree with Lauren that you will have a lot of freedom because you would be able to go to school in pajamas. That would be absolutely awesome. 

I don't think the future will be exactly like this. I imagine that the future will have a building for school but,  there will be a lot of computers for the students to do.


Overall I think the simulation was fun and I felt independent. I really liked the fact that if we had questions we had to ask our classmates for the answer. Here are some of the pros. You get to stay up late and sleep in, and do school in your pjs. I am going to try and write down ALL of my thoughts about what I think about this experience. I thought the experience itself was fun, but in real life I would not want to have a robotics teacher. Here were some good things about the Simulation and some bad things about the simulation: 
Good Things: 
We were able to go on our devices 
We did not have to worry about being impatient and waiting for everyone do say their opinions about the word of the day. Last thing is I got to sit on the floor! :) 
Bad Things: 
We could not talk to our friends, we had to comment to ask Mrs. Barrow and wait for her to respond, along with all of our classmates responding when you only need Mrs. Barrows answer. 
Here is why I do not want a robotic teacher. I would be lonely and scared. I would much rather be around my amazing teachers that I love. Plus my parents are NEVER home so being homeschooled would not work for my family at all. And my 2 brothers would take it for granite and act like they are doing school in their room, but really my 13 year old brother would be watching T.V and my 6 year old brother would be paying with his toys. Also, if you need a question answered, then you would have to ask the robot and would he/she give you the scientific answer? GOOD THINGS
  1. Teachers spend time to make us learn (I have already said this) You may not realize this, but teachers spend LOTS and LOTS of time to create papers for us, to do what Mrs.Barrow did and do a simulation.
  2. Teachers have a heart, for instance Mrs.Barrow is funny, nice, and smart! While a robot isn't funny, and isn't nice.
BAD THINGS
There really are no bad things about human teachers, but there are about robot teachers, i'm not going to make a list, but i'll say a few things about how bad robot teachers are: They don't get how you feel, so if someone is bullying you, they won't know if you feel sad, or if you don't, they will just keep teaching while you cry. They don't know how to be nice, or funny! Now those are just a few, but our teachers at Salem Middle School are not like robot teachers! All of them are funny, nice, and smart!

I can see how having a robot teacher has it's pros, but a human teacher is better because you can ask him/her questions when you need to and he/she can explain the topic to you more. 

A robot teacher is useful though because a robot teacher is your personal teacher and you can learn whenever you want and take breaks when you want to as well but does that really matter when you don't have friends and a human teacher that you can actually communicate with?

Also a robot can't grade you on things such as creative writing, work habits, collaborative working habits, and other stuff such as that.

Someday, a robot may be smarter than a human teacher but that doesn't make a robot teacher any better than a  human one. A robot one is capable of being much smarter than a human one someday but a human teacher will always be smarter in more ways than one. A robot teacher will probably never be able to learn in an interactive way, such as a the simulation that Mrs Barrow did with us. Although I do think that someday a robot teacher may overtake a human one I still think that a human teacher is better than a robot one.

Here are a quick list of ways that a  human teacher is better than a robot one

1. A human teacher is more interactive, and you can ask them questions if you need to 

2. A human teacher can grade creative writing and other work habits that a robot just can't see

3. A Robot teacher may break, causing you to not be able to learn for either a short to a really long time.

4.
