         <title>What to do if you are hospitalised ?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br><br>In hospital:&nbsp;<br>1*: to avoid any unpleasant bills, make sure your health insurance is all sorted before your check in to hospital.<br>2*: the quality and organization of Belgian health care is excellent. However, you will have to pay all or some of the medical costs connected with a stay in hospital.<br>Can i choose the hospital ?:<br>Choose the hospital yourself, unless you are taken to one by the emergency services.<br><br>What should i take to the hospital ?:<br>1*eID.<br>2*ISI+card: issued to children below the age of 12 and to people who do not have an eID but who have social insurance in Belgium.<br><br>How much will a stay in the hospital cost me ?:<br>&nbsp;<br>If you take a private room, it will be more expensive than a twin or ward room.<br><br>Be carreful with your health insurance because if there is something wrong with it, you might be liable to pay some or even all hospital costs including medical care yourself.<br><br>Are there any ways to keep costs down ?:<br>1*Make sure your health insurance is all.<br>2*Ask about room and doctor's costs in advance.<br>3*Ask your doctor or the hospital about the price of such things as implants and prostheses and the services you have to pay for in full or in part.<br>4*Read the admission statement carrefully.<br>5*If you prefer, ask for car at the agreement rate. Tfe flate rate is only available if you choose a twin or ward room and there is an agreement between doctors and health insurers.<br>6*Check your hospital bill carefully.<br>7*If you are unable to return to work immediately following hospitalisation, notify CM within 24 hours after your are discharged from hospital. Do this with the official "Incapacity Declaration"form, to be completed by your doctor and posted to CM.<br><br>Can I insure against high hospital costs?:<br><br>You can avoid high hospital costs by buying one of CM's low-cost hospitalisation insurance packages:<br>1*CM-Hospital Plan.<br>2*CM-Hospitalfix or Hospitalfix Extra.<br>3*Optimum protection.<br><br>You can found more information on the CM hospitalisation insurances and what to do if you have to go to the hospital at www.cm.be/verzekering or visit the CM office in your area.<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
