         <description><![CDATA[<div>是運用水的勢能轉換成電能的發電方式，其原理是利用水位的落差(勢能)在重力作用下流動(動能)，例如從河流或水庫等高位水源引水流至較低位處。<br><br>興建大型水庫會導致上游大面積土地被水淹沒，破壞生物多樣性。<br><br></div><div>而下游的沉積物會大幅減少，這是因為發電機組所排出的水中含有的沉澱物非常少，使下遊河床被沖刷，導致水土流失，最終下游的原有地貌會逐漸被侵蝕，肥沃的沖積土減少。</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>核電廠以鈾當燃料，將其核分裂，產生高「熱」與「放射性核廢料（死灰）」，高熱將液態水煮沸成氣態水蒸氣，推動渦輪轉動，產生電力。<br><br>由於核電廠運轉時原子反應爐會產生高熱，一般都選擇以<mark>液態水來冷卻原子反應爐的冷凝器</mark>，<mark>所以全球核電廠多興建在海邊或大型湖泊畔，時刻不斷地汲入大量的海水或湖水，防止原子反應爐因過熱而融毀。</mark>所以廢熱的溫排水是核電廠無可避免的產物。</div>]]></description>
