As part of COGS optimization process, in order to support Syngenta LAN 5YP and Ola 3 Sales Growth, we have identified numerous opportunities for Raw Materials of more than 1,5 Mio USD savings, Active ingredients, and NPI homologations that will allow our site to become more competitive and attractive for receiving. However, we have pinpointed a bottleneck during the laboratory testing phase in Cartagena, as there is currently no dedicated process area for conducting laboratory-scale tests.

To address this limitation, we are making a significant investment to increase our Laboratory testing capacity by an impressive 300%. This expansion will enable us to accelerate homologation projects, enhance HSE conditions for pilot tests, and prevent operational disruptions caused by outdated equipment. On top of this, we will deliver savings and mitigate supply risks due to single sourcing.

Furthermore, in the long run, the CTG Process area will have the ability to support Lab Test phases for both Mexico and LAS homologation Projects.

During the P&S LAN Strategic Agenda 2023, LAN Procurement Sr Buyer was nominated to lead an initiative related to Third-Party Products, Gayle Niño (Quality Lead LAN) -Sponsor.

Led work sessions with the areas involved and adapted the existing process to the region's needs. We agreed on the changes that had to be made to map the E2E Process and get a Strategic alignment of the portfolio. Main achievements include an updated DACI (Redefinition of Roles and Responsibilities by area), a Definition of Documentary Requirements, and a New Wow.

Next steps: measure the defined KPIs and structure of the supplier evaluation program as a key input for the negotiation.

Together with Fernando and Priscila we visited some strategic suppliers and spent some time with stakeholders exchanging ideas that have enriched our work as key players not only in projects but also in daily operations to make things happen. This has allowed us to get even closer and plan some actions for the coming months (in addition to having fun :))
