Before he was diagnosed he had extreme back pain and was visiting the chiropractor almost daily. The doctors finally diagnosed him and prescribed him monthly shots to help with the pain and reduce inflammation. His doctor described it as my Dad's immune system was so good at attacking other viruses and bacteria that it had nothing else to fight off, so it began attacking his vertebrae.
