         <description><![CDATA[<p><i>Learning and Teaching: Collaborative learning</i>- Students appreciate and understand the importance of collaborative work and partnering.</p><p>Teachers are available for academic support before school, lunch and after school.  Teachers host office hours.</p><p>Outside of school support- HOLA for college access, World Fit for Kids</p><p><i>Personalized Student Support: Support for Student Needs</i>Summer Bridge Program- Very positive for 9th grade and for Summer Bridge Leaders.</p><p><i>Program of Study: Postsecondary articulation</i>- Outside Opportunities- Scripps College Academy, Constitutional Rights Foundation, Hispanic Leadership Fund, Internship at a Law Firm= Students see connections between the school's prep in Mock Interviews, Resumes and Internships...</p><p><i>Learning and Teaching: Outcome focused and student-directed learning- highlights</i>- PBL helped with public speaking skills, prep for adult world, interpersonal skills and self of confidence;  9th grade development of computer skills, encouragement to join extra curricular opportunities.</p><p><i>Program of Study: Cohort Scheduling-</i> Advisory- Teachers track with the students has been very positive.  Opportunities in some advisories to work on college applications and prep for business skills exists.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><i>Learning and Teaching: Collaborative learning-  </i>Student groups need more support in conflict resolution, structures and systems for project work in collaboration.</p><p><i>Personalized Student Support: Support for Student Needs</i>Students also need more direction as it relates to grading practices for PBLs and group projects to promote more individual accountability.</p><p><i>Personalized Student Support: Support for Student Needs</i>- Opportunities to reflect and prevent drop out- Class of 2015 has lost several students to continuation school- more interventions and preventions are needed.</p><p><i>Personalized Student Support: College and Career Plan- </i>College Counselor- students shared that they need more help and support in researching college.</p><p><i>Program of Study: Cohort Scheduling-</i>Advisory- More consistency is needed between advisories; students described this time as a "chill zone."</p><p><i>Equity, Access and Achievement: Open access and equitable opportunities:</i> Students feel that students are labelled and the labels determine the outcomes by the adults and some students take this perspective as well.   School beliefs need to be addressed around how students are afforded opportunities regardless of their previous results.- </p><p><i>Pathway Leadership and Partnerships-Partner Support for Learning: </i>Bring in industry partners at all stages of project to help motivate and clarify connections between student work and pathway outcomes.</p>]]></description>
