During the time of Ehod's death, when God punished the Israelites for sinning and he sold them into the hands of Jabin, Deborah was ruling under the Palm of Deborah in Epthraim. During this complicated situation Deborah needed Barak's help to fulfill God's command of taking ten thousand men of Nephtali and Zebulun to lead them up to Mount Tabor, while Deborah would have the duty of leading Sisera's army, and forwarding them to the Kishon River. (Judges 4:1-7)

Sisera ran away to the tent of Jael, who was on Deborah's side, while Sisera fell asleep she picked up a tent peg and a hammer, driving the peg through his temple onto the ground. This was a recognizable victory that took the help of several people, but most importantly, Deborah fulfilled The Lord's wishes, and proved herself courageous. (Judges 4:17-23)

Deborah proved that our gender does not make us in any way, less incapable to being leaders, responsibility, compassion, discipline and God's glory are the only things that will define how efficient as leaders we can be. Other than this, we can also share the impact of this battle and the victory of Israel, it made them free and oppression is no longer is something they have to worry for, Deborah was a huge influence to this shift and initiative, else, Israelites may not have ever learned what freedom is, at least those from ages back.

Deborah was an excellent judge, with plenty of wisdom and devotion to God. Deborah was given by God the authority to provide civil court decisions. In her leadership position, she also carried out military responsibilities (Judges 4:4–5).

In addition, as a judge she was a servant leader for her people. She agreed to battle with her people and guiding them when Barak responded to God's command (Judges 4:8). This show how courageous and devoted she was to their people.

As well, she was very obedient to God. This explains many of her characteristics, because her relationship with God directly related to how well she served His people. She was a humble judge, because she valued others priorities above herself. Not mentioning the fact she always praised God. You can see this in Chapter 5 which is called The Song of Deborah and is an entire chapter of Deborah singing praise to God after Israel’s victory over King Jabin.
