         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pizarro was born in Spain around 1470. Francisco Pizarro grew up without learning how to read or write. When Pizarro was young he became interested in adventures to the new world. Francisco Pizarro also wanted to explore when he heard about the amount of gold the Inca empire had. He was assassinated in 1541 by one of Almagro's men.</div>]]></description>

Pizarro founded the city of Lima and received 1,000s of pounds of gold and silver. Pizarro's empire expanded over 2,500 miles.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Pizarro sailed with another explorer from Spain to Central America in 1509. In 1513 he joined Balboa's expedition across the Isthmus of Panama to the Pacific Ocean. For 7 years Pizarro helped lead expeditions into Central America. In 1532 Pizarro arrived at Canzmarca. So to narrow it down, he explored Central America, Panama, Canzmarca, and South America.</div>]]></description>
