She made a big push for them to use their word wall as a resource and used that often to relate to the things they were talking about in class.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I observed one of my teachers using hand motions while teaching math. She would have them use their arms to make a plus, minus, or equal sign to show what they were talking about. It really helped the students understand if they were talking about addition or subtraction. She also used a lot of learning centers during the reading lessons.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The teacher that I was with this semester used a really detailed system for classroom management, where she had set ways of doing almost everything, and she'd practiced all of them with the students so that they just knew what to do. They have a sign they make for when they want to go to the bathroom, they point their thumbs towards their bodies to say 'me too,' nonverbally, if they are getting antsy or doing something they shouldn't, all she has to do is say 'sit check' or 'body control' and it works. She has countless others. It makes her classroom run very efficiently. </div>]]></description>

She literally drew on the floor to demonstrate examples of area and perimeter. The students love it because they're involved and it's very hands-on.<br><br></div>]]></description>
