It really helped the students understand if they were talking about addition or subtraction. They have a sign they make for when they want to go to the bathroom, they point their thumbs towards their bodies to say 'me too,' nonverbally, if they are getting antsy or doing something they shouldn't, all she has to do is say 'sit check' or 'body control' and it works. She has countless others. She literally drew on the floor to demonstrate examples of area and perimeter. The students love it because they're involved and it's very hands-on.
