The game continues with the torch between the shepherds and the girls.A big horde is formed, then the girls dance around the shepherds with flowers in their hands. The partners dance in pairs of two, holding each other by the waist.

At the end the dancers form a large horde with steps back and forth, then return to the semicircle formation in dance steps. They may join as many pairs as they wish to dance.

"Dachtylis" is a lively and rhythmic dance and song, characteristic of the region. Its name probably comes from the way the fingers (dachtylidia) are clicked during the dance, giving it a special sound and rhythm.

In the Konya region of Central Anatolia in Turkey, dancers called whirling dervishes perform their art by rotating in this way. Special clothes called tennure are worn.
