As a result, the wage of sweatshop workers will definitely decrease, as well as their working conditions, and a lot of workers will even loss their jobs, which they make a living on. The situation is only going worse. 
The movie also mentioned the problems of the economic system. Capitalism is based on consumption, and consumption creates competition. Consumers are rational, meaning that they will always buy the cheapest products. In order to gain the same or even more profits, sellers have to squeeze all the profits from the workers in the primary industry.
