I use IXL for classwork/homework assignments. It tells students immediately whether they are correct or not. When the students answer the question correct, they will get the points. If they do not get it correct, IXL will take aways points. Also, I set the minimum score to be 80 and they will get a 3 for the score. The score of 80 means that they understand the basic concept. They can keep trying to get a higher score, but it also means the difficulty level will increase. I set 80-89 for a 3, 90-94 for a 3.5 and 95 - 100 for a 4. In this way, if the students understand the concept, then they may need to answer few questions to get 80. If the students do not understand the concept, it sometimes may takes them to answer 30-40 questions until they get the score of 80. Also, there is another good feature about IXL. It has a live window. It allows me to see who is working on the IXL skills now, and who is keep getting the question incorrect (in this case, I know which students may need help.).

I use book creator to encourage students to post and share their work. Students create their own books/book chapters and can be artistic and super creative! They can collaborate or work independently at their own pace. They can also comment on other people's work, give constructive feedback and share glows and grows. They are very enthusiastic to present their work, so they practice pronunciation, fluency and presentation skills. Most importantly, it has added some fun and students feel proud of their work!

Pear Deck helps me to engage students and use formative assessment during the live lesson. Only the teacher knows who is responding during the live lesson, anonymity makes students feel more comfortable sharing their thoughts. When the live lesson is over, it is easy to convert it to an asynchronous lesson. This allows students who missed live instruction to work on the lesson at their own pace and add on to the conversation.

I use Desmos in my math classes. it works similar to Nearpod and Peardeck, where the teacher is able to see the student' work, so I would know who is struggling and who can move on.The main difference is that the Desmos is more math friendly, where students can type in math equation, and there is an embedded calculator as well. In my daily routine, I would spend 5-7 minutes on modeling, then I would let my students working on desmos as practice.

For Earth Science, students have their assignments uploaded the week before. Assignments have the same format, engagement (activating previous knowledge), video, reading with guided questions, and applying concepts. By maintaining the same structure, students are more confident in completing their work. During live sections, students are able to ask for explanations and to improve their assignments. Also, I can assess them during the Do Now and Exit Slip.

I'm also using MOTE voice recording to comment on students' work. Mr. Ash does that during our 7th period.

To avoid students "copy and paste" from the internet, I use Grammarly to check if students plagiarize their work. Students google everything. They are avoiding watching the videos or reading by looking for answers. Most of the time, their responses don't make sense because of that.

For my AP class, I'm using the AP for All Classroom. They have videos and questions for each topic. Students have to watch, summarize and respond to the questions. During the live section, students discuss the topic with me. By doing this, students can connect the concept with real-life situations. Also, they will be college-ready. Students know in advance what we are going to discuss.
