Have a system in place to notify the appropriate personal of all requests for special education evaluations.
4. Although students may have an IEP or 504 accommodations they should not be held to lesser standards for educational success. This could be seen as discrimination.
5. Keep an open line of communication with parents. This will help to ensure that you know how they are feeling about their child's services and success.
6. Consider all parties feelings during an IEP meeting. If parents are not feeling that they are being heard they may be more likely to file a law suit.
