Irony  Example :

    (This is unexpected because one would assume the fire chief would keep his own building safe.)

The therapist was rushing the client to much. Kept telling her to stop it with out finding out anything that was causing it. It made her feel extremely uncomfortable.   

My example of Irony:
When having my car fixed and two different mechanics are saying two different things that are wrong. Is very frustrating because now you don't even know really what is wrong.

Example of Satire:
When the therapist kept saying stop it, stop it and stop it over and over again. To much over powering for the client.

My example of Satire:

My Satire:
During a protest, police have their hands of their guns pointing at protesters and media is filming so then both the police and the protestors say don't shoot.

Example of Irony:
Every year ABC cuts down A Charlie Brown Christmas which is a movie about the over commercialization of the holidays to make room for more commercials.

My Irony:
Two friends are drenched in water due to the rain and one of the friends says nice weather we are having. It's ironic that after yelling at his client to "STOP IT" when she shares her problems, he then says its okay when she mentions she washes her hands too much; a reasonable and common problem related to O.C.D.

The therapist kept shouting "stop it" to whatever issue was troubling the patient. It's funny, because usually something that simple is never the answer. Yet, by the end of 5 minutes, it ends up sort of working for her. Which is pretty ironic.

The Dr was so serious with his patient. And during the convo emphasises yelling "Stop It" to explain to the patient how to resolve her issues. Mostly life gives u lemons and we have to ironically resolve it so we try to make lemonade. 

My example:
The best example i could think of which is using Satire is the show The Family Guy. 

My example of Irony:
There was a patient that came in and saw the Dr. complaining of headaches. So Doctor gives patient a medication for it. Patient goes home and doesn't take meds because he is afraid of the side effects. Patients sighs as he reaches for his cigarettes.

I find it ironic because the therapist was not helping her client. On the contrary, he made her feel uncomfortable.
The satire is manifested in the video when the therapist tells the client to stop repeatedly. I think the way the client responds to the therapist is also satire.

I love how the doctors confidence of solving all problems within 5 minutes was simply saying, "Stop it". The irony of it all was simply implying that we can solve all our fears or stressors by simply saying "Stop it". If only it were that easy. 
An example I could give is the fact that Iceland is covered with greenery while Greenland is covered with ice. It's obvious whoever named the two wanted people to stay away from Iceland.

This man appears to be a psychiatrist and normally the patient will speak and they psychiatrist will listen to the patients problems and come up with good advise but in this case the irony is that its the opposite of that, the patient is telling him her problems and he is saying simply to "stop it". Hilarious video, defiantly how I react to my friends and feelings. just stop it! haha

The entire skit is a perfect example of satire. This skit, featuring Bob Newhart, is specifically satirizing a trip to a psychiatrist. It is an effective satire piece because it uses comedy to "mock" a typical visit of the same nature.

The video with Bob Newhart shows both irony and satire depending on how we see it.  Its ironic that a patient goes in to overcome a problem and he simplifies it saying to stop it. It can  also be seen as  satire cause he over simplifies the process by just telling someone to stop it.

An example of satire would be. a mockery of the second amendment, the right to bear arms.  In the link below the picture shows  a Sargent asking a private "who said you could roll your sleeves" the private answers "the second amendment says I have the right to bare arms.

An example of satire is a specific scene in South Park, S24 E1. When Randy satirically tried to sell the “Pandemic special,” where one could get a bundle of weed from his Tegridy company, and if they purchase a certain amount then they get a free bong.
