1) more rapport building activities during the first few weeks of school rather than only on the first few days of school as it would have helped me built more confidence.
2) having my siblings/friends in the same school as me.  Familiarity is a great comfort especially for someone who felt quite small in a huge school.
3) Having more emotional-check-ins from the teacher. It would be more comforting if teachers had asked how we were feeling from time to time to make us feel emotionally supported.

The opinions of children should not be dismissed easily. Their opinions too weigh the same as adults’.
