Solar panels absorb the suns energy and it creates electricity to power up lights, fans, AC, sink, etc. I have four solar panels, sixteen kilowatts at an affordable price $4000. It is sustainable because it uses the suns energy instead of regular energy so the energy doesn’t go to waste. Solar panels will only work when the sun is out so at night you have to use the usual energy.

Insulation- hay/straw and Hempcrete

Straw is a really good for insulation because it traps the air, heat or coolness in a room/box. It is a natural resource so it isn’t hard on the environment. The are at an affordable price so it’s not only sustainable, it’s natural and cheap. Hempcrete is a strong, affordable material. If Hempcrete is applied with the straw, in will make it stronger and not just like hay bales. Hempcrete is a natural resource made from hemp and lime. Hempcrete locks in carbon dioxide and also can be used on its on because it is good for insulation. Hempcrete is just like concrete except it is less brittle and is natural so it isn’t hard on the environment.

Double glazed windows are just like regular windows but are twice as strong. These windows insulate well because of its thickness. Not only can these windows reduce heat, it can keep out noises like dogs barking, the road, construction works and thunderstorms.

LED lights use less energy than other light bulbs. This means that LED lights save the owners money. LED lightbulbs can wear out from 20,000-50,000 hours which means LED lights are last five times longer.
