Hello! My name is Ilaria, I'm 14, and I live in Italy, exactly in Calabria. Today I'm here to tell the story of my region, or, to be more precise, of some more famous cities.
One of these, is Pizzo. It is famous for an artisan ice cream, called "tartufo", called just like the mushroom, the truffle, and, for the quality of ice cream in general, so much so that Pizzo is defined as "the city of ice cream".
For those who don't like ice cream, there's the sea, the beach, literally a stone's throw from the center.
There are discos, castles open to tourists, ancient churches...
Well, if I were in you, a trip to Pizzo, I would have done it.
I don't know, that's all for now. What's in your region/city?

Thanks again,
A student from Italy.

hi,
my name is Giada and I'm Italian. I am 14 years old and in my free time I practice scouts but I also play the violin. Calabria is a beautiful region and today I will tell you about Reggio Calabria. Reggio calabria is a coastal city. The museum houses the Riace bronzes, a pair of life-size Greek starlings that were found in 1972 in the bottom of the Ionian Sea. To the east, in the mountains, the Aspromonte National Park features beech and pine forests populated by wolves, wild boars and deer. The origin of Reggio Calabria is lost in fabulous tales and more or less reliable legends, but the name of Rhègion appears for the first time in the eighth century A.C. as a Greek colony of Chalcis and Poimessena. I hope I have fascinated you by telling you the story of Reggio Calabria and see you in Italy.
goodbye
Giada

Hi
I'm Anny, I am 14 years old and I live in Paola, a small seaside town in Calabria. I attend the first year of Human Science at “PIZZINI - PISANI” High School. Our classes often include lab components that allow students to perform hands-on experiment. Our science labs are made with all the equipment and we are able to conduct innovative experiments which make us very productive. That’s very interesting!
I live in a little village in Calabria between the sea and the mountains. It's a wonderful region, with a good weather: it's always sunny!
I want to speak about Tropea, an Italian town of 5 956 inhabitants, in the province of Vibo Valentia. It's a really beautiful city, with fantastic beaches, a charming historical center, and restaurants serving fresh seafood. Tropea is on “The Coast of the Gods,” but it also benefits from the occasional purple hue of the sea that inspired the name of “The Violet Coast” just south of here.
It's also famous for the red onion, which is sweet, delicate, and actually more purple than red.
Would you like tiìo come and visit these sectacular places?
We're waiting for you!

Ho I'm Mattia and hobbies are listening to music, taking pictures and playing the guitar. I’ve learned to play the guitar thanks to tutorial videos on YouTube during the pandemic. I loved playing videogames since I was tiny.
I'm from Calabria. This is a beautiful region, even if some Italians always describe it badly. There are wonderful places to visit here, not crowded and not polluted. Visitors can admire clean beaches, beautiful churches in the town centre and some lovely parks around the town. It is a tourist region and there are many wonderful places to visit here. One of this is "Le Castella".
Le Castella is really a charming place, a small Calabrian village of the Island of Capo Rizzuto. Here you can admire a beautiful Aragonese castle that rises out of the sea, and can be considered a piece of paradise in Calabria. Built as a defense against the attacks of Turkish pirates, the Aragonese Castle on the Island of Capo Rizzuto, is one of the most spectacular castles in the region. Perfectly preserved and fully open, this fortress was built on a small island tied to the coast by a narrow strip of land in the middle of the marine reserve.
Tell me something about the best places in your city!

I'm waiting for a your answer!
See you!
Mattia

Hello, I'm Francesco and I'm from Calabria. In Calabria there are many traditions related to patronal festivals, dances and songs accompanied with instruments such as the bagpide, tambourini and the accordion.
We celebrate a lot of festivities: one of the most popular is The Nduja Festival which takes place every year in August, in the town of Spilinga. During the festival, the visitors are offered many recipes prepared with ‘Nduja (a kind of spicy salami), such as spaghetti, onions, beans, bruschetta, vegetables, sandwiches and other homemade food.
The Bluefish and Red Onion festival takes place in July. The festival celebrates the renowned red onion, with a sweet and delicate taste, and together with the bluefish make up the basic ingredients of the Tropea tradition.
What are the most famous popular tradition of your city?
Write me soon!
Francesco

Hi! My name is Chiara, I’m fourteen years old and I live in Calabria, a wonderful region in the Southern italy. Today I will talk to you about Scilla; suspended over a cliff between the blue of the sea and of the sky, Scilla represents the simbolic image of a Calabria rich in history, legends and landscapes that can enchant with their timeless beauty!
We are at the entrance to the Strait of Messina, where the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea have met since time immemorial, giving life to the legends of “Scilla e Cariddi” which Homer also wrote in his Odyssey about Ulisse who, in order to cross this stretch of sea looking at the two monsters in the face, he let his companions tie him to the ship's mast, putting wax plugs in his ears to bewitch the sirens. Exciting, right? But when you’ll be there, DON’T LISTEN TO THE SING! Scilla is not only history and legend, but also a great place to satiate your scilla is not only history and legend, but also a great place to fill your scilla is not only history and legend, but also a great place to fill your This city in fact offers a great variety of typical Calabrian products, and what could be better than tasting them by the beach at sunset? The scilla’s sunset is definitely one of the most beautiful I've ever So, between history, traditions, culinary specialties, shows, landscapes and breathtaking caves, I can certainly say that Scilla is one of my favourite places. What do you think? Let me know! I attend your reply
                              Bye bye, Chiara Cupello
