My name is Lizbet I’m 25 years old currently living in the Inland Empire. I have been in the early childhood education field for about 4 years now. I started working with transitional preschoolers ages 2-4 years old these were the hardest two years of working with children. However, I wouldn’t change it for anything it has really set the foundation of were I’m currently at within my field of education. My other two years of experience have been working with infants and toddlers ages 3- 30 months. I learned many things working with this age group and how to show these children empathy and social emotional support. Working with the younger group of children has really challenge me in being able to communicate with these children by using baby sign language.

I’m happy to see familiar faces cannot wait to take another class with previous peers and looking forward to building new connections. I have been taking courses at PO for about a year now and I’m taking a total of four classes and I’m excited to continue this journey at PO and hopefully being done by the fall 2019. I’m currently working with toddlers at a non-profit organization. Besides taking courses at PO I volunteer at a children’s hospital since I plan on going back to get my master’s degree in child life.
