Girls on the other hand, have Bat Mitzvah which is the same ceromony, but it is when she turns 12.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After a Jewish person dies, their eyes are closed, the body is laid on the floor covered by a white sheet, and candles are lit around the body. The body is never left by itself until after burial, as a sign of respect. You can not do anything to the physical body. For example, cremation is not allowed. Open casket ceremonies are also not allowed, and furthermore, autopsies are only allowed if the law requires it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Jewish mourning is separated into four different phases. The first phase is preparing the body for the burial. This period is known as aninut. The next period is called shiva meaning seven days. During this time the family of the deceased do absolutely do nothing except for mourn and stay in their household. They wear the same clothes since the day they heard the tragic news. They can not take showers or anything else not related to mourning. They can only pray death prayers and eat.</div>]]></description>

The final period of mourning is avelut, which is only for a parent of the deceased. This period lasts for 12 months after the burial. During this time, the parents avoid parties, celebrations, theater and concerts.</div>]]></description>

The breaking of the glass is symbolic of the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem in the year 70 AD. The breaking of the also glass reminds the bride and groom that life is full of not only joy, but sorrow as well further reminding the newly weds of their commitment to one another.</div>]]></description>
