Unfortunately, I have no experience with virtual reality (VR), neither in nor out of the scholar field. Nevertheless, I am aware of how beneficial it can be if applied in the educational area. It offers an immersive learning experience, which can be a great opportunity to progress and help. For instance, it can be a really helpful tool for students who struggle to understand some concepts or contents, since VR will give the chance to put into practice other methodologies or perspectives. Also, it fosters students’ creativity and sparks their imagination.

However, the benefits of virtual reality in education are not only related to the academic field, it also embraces cultural competence. For example, a quite common use of VR is doing trips to places around the world, exposing students to different cultures, traditions and values. Related to this, students can as well acquire better social skills since they can be put in these scenarios to learn to deal with diverse issues. Consequently, they will gain great values and skills such as empathy, respect and problem-solving.

My experience with virtual reality has not been very extensive but it is true that at times in my life I have had the opportunity to use it. A friend of mine had the virtual reality glasses and some afternoon or another we used them to pass the time by playing videos that we liked or pretending we were at the beach. This virtual reality offers you a wide range of new and very beneficial opportunities.

In the educational area, the benefits generated by virtual reality are many and very effective for student learning. Through this method we increase the area of knowledge mainly. On the other hand, it helps to understand concepts, subjects, theories and complex practices in a more active way since it is put in that virtual reality. Finally, it could be said that it favors pleasantly to study as it prevents all kinds of distractions when studying.

Throughout my whole life, I've had two experiences with Virtual Reality. Sadly, I have only been able to personally use it once, when I used VR glasses to play a game in the arcade, which means it was a public place. However, the experience was very short so, I wasn't able to enjoy the experience and learn more about it. The second experience, was in the Practicum of the university. The school I spent a month in, had Virtual Reality glasses for their students' use, and event though I saw them everyday, I never had the chance to use them.

I think using Virtual Reality in the educational field would have many benefits. When learning something, it's much easier, specially for children when they can actually see it, instead of hearing about it.
Also, for subjects like Geography, it could be helpful because students can travel to another place virtually, and that can help them visualize what they're learning.

I have used Virtual Reality twice in my life. The first one was when I went to an exposition, it was then when I used virtual reality glasses to play a video game. The other one was recent, in ICT class when we were preparing our class design.

Well, I think Virtual Reality is a really useful tool if it is used correctly. As its name indicates, they can transport us to another reality that can be very far from ours. We can take advantage of it to know and understand the context of some other people so that we can empathize with them.

Most of the time I have used virtual reality has been for gaming purposes and I have been able to use them at exhibitions or in shops where there was an opportunity to try out the virtual reality goggles. I have always been fascinated by the world of virtual reality and I have enjoyed the times I have used it. Despite this, I think it needs to improve in some aspects and continue to make progress.

In terms of education, I think this technology is a crucial opportunity. Virtual reality provides the opportunity to see and be in places that would not be possible without it. So when children can see planets, historical events or any other space that is beneficial for learning, it can be created with it.

Honestly, I think I've only tried VR goggles once or twice to play video games with friends. A friend of mine has them and once when we went to dinner at his house he let me try them, I really thought it was amazing! When you put on the glasses it's as if you can transport yourself to another place, live other realities that you may never live in the flesh.
I think these glasses could be used for various purposes; having fun, seeing landscapes that you have never seen, watching horror videos and living them in first person and can even be used to learn.
When you try to teach a child something through theoretical explanations, they may not retain that information for long. However, by employing the use of virtual reality you call the child's attention, so the child will be more involved in what you intend to teach him, thus generating in him a more meaningful learning.

I have had some experience with virtual reality. When I was a child I was in a simulation where I was in a spaceship and the seat also moved. It was as if I was in space and you could see the meteors and satellites. A few years ago I was in another similar simulator where we visited a rubbish dump or a place where different materials were recycled to learn the process without moving from the seat. On the other hand, I have seen movies with 3D glasses where it didn't look as real but it is a bit closer to this virtual reality world.

Virtual reality in education has many benefits and can be of great help to children's learning. Virtual reality allows students to learn concepts in a playful way and they do not have the option of being distracted while the virtual reality experience is being carried out, as everything around them at that moment is created specifically to carry out that activity. It accelerates learning and favours the inclusion of students with learning difficulties or behavioural disorders. It is a way for everyone in the class to work in the same way and with the same facilities without anything that excludes them; in other words, this method instils educational values.

About my personal experience with virtual reality, I have to say that I have experienced it a couple of times in two different settings. First, I have used the virtual reality goggles that connect to the console. This came out a few years ago and was a very novel way of being able to play the different games you play on the normal screen in a totally different way. In my opinion, it's a fun thing to try from time to time but not to play like this as usual. On the other hand , I have also used virtual reality when it comes to training. I am a handball goalkeeper and in a campus I was given the opportunity to try it. The goggles showed videos of players shooting and I had to do the movement to stop the ball in the goal.

This is why, in my opinion, virtual reality can be beneficial in many aspects such as education. For example, it can be a great help for students to experience other experiences that they have never tried before through new stimuli. It can help children to see or imagine situations in which they could not imagine without virtual reality and which are unattainable for them in the school context.

The truth is that I have never had experience using virtual reality in school or on my own. But it does seem to me that virtual reality has many benefits for all of us and not only in the field of education but also in other areas of society. Focusing on the educational field, I sincerely believe that it has great benefits for students.

Thanks to virtual reality I think they can help them see things in a more real and tangible way. I say this above all because many times the theory is given in a very abstract or technical way that children cannot understand without seeing it in a virtual reality. That is why I think that this will help them to better understand the curricular contents.

Honestly, I haven't used any virtual reality related devices many times. One of the times was for a short period of time at the Christmas playground. But, I don´t remember anything.
In my opinion, virtual reality can help in putting theory into practice. In this way, we can make the students see the subject matter more tangible and in a more visual way. In addition, we can create more critical people because we lead them to reason and question what they learn in class. And, finally, we can teach them other necessary issues of everyday life in this more engaging and effective way.

Four years ago I had the opportunity of using virtual reality in school. We had a subject about ICT and the school just recieved new advanced equipment for VR. It consisted of classes, remotes and some cameras. We used it to play a game that consisted of a escape room. To being able of escaping, we had to resolve certain mathematical exercises and problems.

I think that Virtual Reality is very useful in education because it enables the students to experience what they are studying from a closer perspective. In this case, it made learning maths funner and it allowed us to experience it in a situation out of the classroom teacher-student environment.

When it comes to my experience with virtual reality, I have to say that I have only used it on one occasion. The device was used with your mobile phone: you had to play the video you wanted on your mobile phone, and then put it into the virtual reality glasses. My experience was not the best as the video they chose was scary and frightening. Even so, I liked it because it was something I had never tried before, and it gave me a different feeling because it was like living something that is not really true.

I find virtual reality interesting, as I believe it can have a positive effect on education. For example, I think it would be interesting teaching things to students in a much more visual way, such as givin science explanations (the parts of a tree, for example). I believe that students would be more motivated as they could learn a lot from that experience. Besides, it seems to me something alternative and very innovative.
