Positive connotation in admiration emotion displayed in chapter 4 of Pride and Prejudice. The girls conversation were specific on Mr. Bingley "He is just what a young man ought to be, said she, sensible , good-humored, lively; and I never saw such a happy manners! so much ease, with such perfect good breeding! He is also handsome, replied Elizabeth, which a young man ought likewise to be if he possibly can. His character is thereby complete"(Austen p.16). The language and word choice that Mr. Bingley is being described is beautiful and attractive. It demonstrated the element of a 'young fortune man' looks like in the eighteen century, therefore this quote have positive meaning for Mr. Bingley character.

The word Olive branch was mention in chapter. 13 page 64 and it does not mean the branch of an olive tree. This word is fresh and makes the reader like me wants to keep reading the novel and figure out what is the meaning of olive branch. This specific word choice related to the theme of social classes because "Olive Branch" is a fancy name of dance for the middle and upper classes common party.

The ladies in the Bennett's family are having a conversation on Mr. Collins character in a specific way. Mr.Collins is being described as an oddity person. The gossip went on how Mr.Collins is "pompous in style"(Austen p.65) , which bring a negative connotation in the word "pompous". Pompous as a word have multiple definition, but the one that is use in this context is showing the attitude of people who speak and behave in a very formal and serious way because they believe that they are better, smarter, or more important than other people . The fact that Jane Austen choose the word "oddity" to fit in Mr. Collins character impacts on the element of social criticism. Then the tone follow more toward the bad judgmental in a conversation as well.

Mr.Bennet's expectations were fully answered"(Austen p.69)

Throughout chapter 14 Mr. Collins is pleasing Mr.Bennet in order to get closer to his daughter. He complimented Mr. Bennet and act proper gentlemanly. The text above display that Mrs. Bennet is happy so far on Mr. Collins style and how he behave well, therefore the connotative meaning throughout is very positive. The tone throughout the conversation between these two the characters is amusing. It is amusing because the author choice of writing Mr. Collins to be a fool by providing comedy talks in chapter 14 pages 68-69, actually turn out to be beneficial toward Mr.Collins because Mr. Bennet likes his character and he is entertained by his comedy talks. This comedic chapter is fresh and engaging when it comes to the element that tie up with the theme of social expectation.
(Obama pictured illustrated the facial expression of Mr.Bennet is flatter by Mr.Collins funny character .)
