Digital tools can be a great help in teaching but we need to limit the amount of time we spend using digital tools and focus more on the social and emotional development of ourselves and our pupils.

Indeed, digital tools can be time saving and motivating, but we can't put aside textbooks and handwriting as neuroscience proves handwriting perpetuates learning.

There should be a balance.

I learn a lot through digital tools about teaching and how to implement traditional lessons in the new world.

Generally, there are good and bad days. It is crucial to use it wisely.

As a solution each evening I have one hour without any digital tool, just staying outside or having a walk.

But, there should be a balance - no digital tool can replace live conversation, social contact or empathy. True human values must be preserved and cherish.

However, the downside is the constant tether to work, blurring the boundaries between personal and professional life, and that started during Covid lockdown when we were at home, teaching. Striking a balance has been a struggle, and there have been times when the pressure to stay connected has taken a toll on my well-being. It's crucial to recognize the need for breaks and personal time, which is something I've been actively working on lately.

Similar to other teachers, I've experienced the positive aspects of digital connectivity, such as improved collaboration and resource-sharing. On the flip side, the challenge lies in navigating the potential for burnout and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Despite the downsides, the enrichments in terms of professional development and connection with students are undeniable. As I make a conscious effort to disconnect at times, I find myself appreciating the benefits of digital life while also recognizing the importance of unplugging for my own mental and emotional well-being.

I use various web tools for both school and myself. Discovering the world of eTwinning helped me discover a lot about the internet, various programs and tools that I did not know.

on the other hand, I sometimes feel a little bit "addicted" and the possibility to be always connected has become a necessity.

Thanks to this my professional and personal life is enriched.

I am very concerned about the use of screens because it harms my eyesight.

I keep my website, I have eTwinning projects where students can work together online.

I'm always trying to find the latest and greatest ways to use tech in education.

So basically, tech is a big part of my world, both for making my teaching awesome and for helping other teachers see the power of it too. My goal is to create a learning environment that's exciting and helps every student reach their full potential, all with a little help from technology.

And my digital life isn't stuck in the classroom. It helps me in daily life, too.

In classroom I try to use digital tools to make a dynamic learning environment, to engage students în activities, to stimulate their interest in learning. I use different apps and platforms for didactic materials and for planning the lessons. I use digital tools to communicate with students and peer teachers. We use digital communication in school. I use digital for learning, for professional development.

I also use digital tools im my free time. I stay in touch with family and friends, I watch films, listen to music etc.

Additionally, concerns about data privacy, online security, and digital addiction have emerged as unexpected challenges that require careful navigation.

Overall, my digital life has been a journey of exploration and adaptation, presenting both enrichments and drawbacks that have reshaped how I live and work in the interconnected digital age.

Maybe the previous years i was more into it and nowadays i feel a bit of... fed up (?)

I use different tools in both my professional and personal life:

*attending webinars and online courses,

As an educator I use Classrrom and a lot of the apps that come with G suite. I also like to explore the potential of others apps like Genially or Ebook creator. And what better way to star then searching tutorials in Youtbe....

I also use the internet to search for materials and ideas for my classses. For example, I´m currently searching for ideas of how to implement a escape room.

And also this MOOC and other online courses which are very relevant to my professional development.

As a teacher and a teacher trainer in the field of educational technology, we use digital tools to collaborate, communicate and work with in order to understand their features and how they can be implemented in teaching and learning. Additionally, professional development through courses takes place online, as in this situation.

My personal life includes also digital tools to communicate with friends an family, to be informed for news and socialize in social media. I enjoy watching movies and series online.

There is always the effort to achieve balance, and avoid addiction to online life.

As a PhD students i can not do any of my researches without digital tools, e-books related to my fields, Youtube channel learning about several concepts , several analysis software....etc

This is when I met people from all over the world, amazing educators who were ready to teach me and exchange their views with me and so on. So, I must admit that I am now suffering sometimes from FOMO. However, my PLN is really expanded and has turned me into a much better-prepared educator and...person.. I need to make sure not to confuse real with digital life and sometimes not to be absorbed by it, but the opportunities you have in the digital world are, at times, not to be missed!

We have to teach them things like "waiting for something" or "getting along with people in real life."

But it is also important to me that we teach them about the bigger world and how to use technology to navigate and communicate beyond their village.

Still ICT is necessary tool in proffessional life, but I try to reduce it in my personal life.

All these have advantages like endless possibilities of everything, like music or information.

But also disadvantages, like we never disconect for our job. Also we have the feeling of being in touch with people so we meet less in real life.

Lately, I try intentionally reduce or limit my time spent on the internet as though I see many benefits of it, I realize it takes up more of my time than before and does not give me back qualitatively the type of respond I need.

In conclusion, while digital technology offers numerous benefits for educators and professionals, it also presents challenges that require careful consideration and management. By leveraging digital tools effectively and cultivating digital literacy skills, educators can harness the full potential of technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

But also the downsides, digital distractions, privacy concerns and digital literacy issues. Some teachers faced challenges in navigating digital platforms. We also have a sense of lack of human connection, which I think doesn't bode well for these gadget-addicted teenagers, not to mention the dangers of cyberbullying, from which no one is immune.

I need though further improvement of my digital skills and that is why I seek courses like this one.

Regarding the school, as a teacher I communicate inside the school with my colleagues via Gmail (our school has a Google workspace supervised by the ministry of education) and specific platforms created for us. (We call it Plumier XXI). This platform is used to communicate with the school, colleagues, families and students. However we also use Gmail and Google Meet for videoconferencing, both within the school context and beyond it with the community.

I think that a correct use of digital tools facilitates communication.

My life has had a drammatic change since when technology has appeared in our society both professionally and personally. My teaching system has changed and I am always on the hunt to learn the use of new apps and online tools to throw into my lessons because I have noticed that they make learning more fun ,and help each student learn in their own way while they appreciate that they can think critically.

On the other hand, teachers should not forget that students need to socialize ,too.
