Authenticity, loyalty, thoughtfulness, forgiving nature. These are some of the qualities that people who know be the best acknowledge have allowed us to be friends for so long. They know even if we lose touch that they can always reach out to me. They know they can confide in me.

I eat right, I work out, I take care of myself, but I don't look like I'm trying to hard. I'm not necessarily 'vein' but I convey that I can put some miles on the road if need be.

My relationship with the material world

I'm notoriously stingy in some ways, but giving to other people. I don't give much to status symbols. I own $4,500 worth of vehicles across a motorcycle, car and bicycle. They are all at least 10 years old. Some of my favorite stories are war stories about home repairs. I take excellent care of them and they should last me for some time. I know about how they were built, technical aspects of the engines and transmission, and I'll wrench on them if need be. The money I save from being a jalopnik was all typically pumped into my travel funds to see NYC, CDMX, PDX, the rockies or visit family.

Consistency

For years, you can safely assume that I'll post photos of destinations I've bicycled to, kayaked at, ski'd, road tripped, raced at, flown to or things that I've cooked. I typically (if they consent) like to make my relationships with my partners somewhat publicly shared/documented, especially our travel photos or foodstagram photos. However, I do end up having to go it alone in order to cover all the ground I'm capable of. My partners understand that if they can't ski at 14,000 feet, it doesn't mean that I can't.

Adventurer

I've not had an easy life, and yet at this time, I have a good life. I have triumphed over different kinds of adversity. I've faced moments of mortality and been lucky enough to get a second, third, or perhaps fourth shot at life. I don't it for granted and people know it.

Goals

One of my qualities is that I'm very introverted, so it's been difficult to provide connections to people. Some people are easier to be friends with than others. But it's not a flaw that you have to work harder for some people's company if you find their company to be worthwhile. I hope to increase my extroversion so that I won't end up the end of a connection every time. I'd like to facilitate connections as part of my brand.
