         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) Congress' structure consists of two branches. Those branches are <span style="font-size: 13px;">the Senate</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> and&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">House of Representatives. The House of&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">Representatives consists of 435 members,</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">and each states member amount is determined by the size of population of that state.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">The Senate consists of 100 members, two from each state. They do two for each state</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">to keep it equal so larger states don't have more power.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">2) The main purpose of Congress is to enact laws and vote on them to determine</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">which bills pass and become laws and which ones don't become laws. They are</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">considered the lawmaking body of the government.</span></p><p>3)  The qualifications to become a Representative is you have to be at least 25 years old,</p><p>a citizen of the U.S. for at least 7 years, and you have to be a resident of the state you</p><p>want to represent. The qualifications to become a Senator is you must be at least 30</p><p>years old, a citizen of the U.S. for at least 9 years, and you must be a resident of the&nbsp;</p><p>state you want to represent.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>4) Senators are elected by the people of the state they represent. They're voted into&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">their position for a staggered 6 year term. The 435 Representatives of the House are elected</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> for a 2 year term by the people of the state they represent.</span></p><p>5) The 435 Representatives can choose to impeach someone, and then  the Senate<span style="font-size: 13px;"> holds trial. For the impeachment to go through 2/3 of  the Senate must agree on it, if it</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> is less the impeachment will not pass.</span></p><p>6)  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>7) The powers of Congress are simple. They are the chief Legislative branch of the U.S.&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">They make laws, sent tax prices,&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">sent trade regulations,&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">establish the system of&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">money, postal service, and deal with all copyrights and patents.&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">The elastic</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> clause is there to give congress flexibility to&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">pass laws to carry&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">out its&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">functions</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> and deal with new problems as they arise.  </span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">8) The powers of Congress are limited by the Constitution. In the Constitution in article</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">it states all the powers the congress has and what they can't do. They are limited to</span></p><p>curtain<span style="font-size: 13px;"> things because they shouldn't be given full control and they could set unfair</span></p><p>laws. The Constitution limit s Congress from a lot, for example it permitted Congress to</p><p>outlaw slave trade, they can't make unfair laws, writ of Habeas Corpus, prohibits taxs</p><p>on exports, and many more </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>9) States powers are limited by the U.S Constitution. No states can enforce laws&nbsp;</p><p>which cut&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">privileges or freedom of citizens of the U.S, and or deprive a persons living,&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">Liberty </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">or property. With out dew process of law, and cannot deny a person the right </span></p><p>of jurisdiction of equal protection of law.</p><p>10) There have been changes to three Amendments, the 14,17,20 amendments.&nbsp;</p><p>For the fourteenth <span style="font-size: 13px;">amendment they removed this sentence, "Direct Taxes...&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">shall be determined by</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> adding to the&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">whole Number of free Persons,&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">including those bound to Service for a Term of Years,</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> and excluding&nbsp;</span></p><p>Indians not taxed, three fifths of all others Persons." what also been</p><p> changed/removed<span style="font-size: 13px;"> for the seventeenth amendment is this statement,</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> "Chosen by the legislature thereof... </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">Vacancies happen </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">by Resignation,&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">or otherwise, during the Recess of the Legislature of&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">any state, the</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> Executive thereof may make temporary Appointments until the next Meeting</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> of the Legislature, which shall then fill such Vacancies. Last but not least that</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> has been&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">removed is for the Twentieth Amendment was "And such Meeting&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">shall be on the</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> first Monday </span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> in December." The last lines that been removed&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">to changed the amendments is this, " The</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> Migration of Importation of such</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> Persons as any of the States now existing shall think&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">proper to admit, shall</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year on thousand&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">eight</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;"> hundred </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">and eight, but a Tax or Duty may be imposed on such importation,&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">not&nbsp;</span><span style="font-size: 13px;">exceeding ten dollars</span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> for each Person...No Capitation, or other direct,&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or Enumeration </span></p><p>herein before directed to be taken. these are the changes that changed our&nbsp;</p><p>Amendments which we know today.</p>]]></description>
