Rita Kolibongso
- When we're talking about ASEAN mechanism related to women issues (related to the implementation of CEDAW): the activity, synergy of regional mechanism (ACWC) is still looking for how the role of this body to be more responsive and supporting towards the implementation of CEDAW, within issues of women and migrant workers and so on.

Audrey Lee
- the 'international' women's human rights agendas and those at ASEAN is different in a normative sense, but that it needs to be regional and country specific, in addressing how women and girls realities are impacted by external and domestic forces.
- just on the point of the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework - as the key covid policy in the region, there are already existing critiques that emphasise how some missing pieces and disconnection in this policy from the different blueprints.
- there are structural issues at the grassroots and also institutional human rights actor level needs more work dismantling and understanding.

Jelen Paclarin
- There are efforts in other ASEAN bodies like ASSC to mainstram gender. But a lot of things need to be done.
- ASEAN is still not ready to mainstreaming the rights of marginalised people. The work of ASEAN Soc-Cult Pillar is not enough in attempt to achieve such goal.
- In addition, pandemic has shown there are more challenges women should meet in the next few years.
- SEA culture that is leaning to authoritarianism smh can be seen as something that could hinder the process of mainstreaming the rights of the vulnerable groups.

Sudthida
- the vulnerable group is underrepresented within the regional mechanisms or bodies.

Dali
we need to look up more on each region based on their needs and problem, at this pandemic situation, each of marginalized group face different situation, especially being a caretaker. Woman issues has many layer, more understanding and prioritize on the easing the problem will be needed, to avoid political agenda only.

Rita Kolibongso
- we still lack of the mechanism in dealing with the issue on VAW (report, etc). E.g.: case of Myanmar: we are looking for the right mechanism to address about issues related to the marginalised women. How we can synergise the "ASEAN Way" to cooperate, but still miss to ensure women's recovery from the situation.

Audrey
- Another common challenge is also more paternalism and protectionism in policies and programme responses especially after covid, rather than focus on agency and capacity and resources and options for women and girls.
- it's really important to talk about the level of ACWC's visibility and accountability. other than having an access to the report, society must have access to see what actions the ACWC in the efforts to promote and ensure the protection of the rights of women and children.

Jelen
- It appears that budget is always an issue. I think ACWC needs to think boldly and use their TOR to influence protection policies both at the national and regional levels. Access to justice due to varying levels of identities and intersectionality also is a challenge for the the survivors.
- empower the ASEAN students and youth to support the effort of ACWD in disseminating reports and other information.
- access to justice of girls and women (which are interrelated one and another) should be addressed.

Lway A Sandar Win
There are many challenges in Myanmar when we try to protect women from violence. there are many harmful customary practices, patriarchy , not enough polices and Laws to protect women and children. And also here are many illegal arrest, killing and many violence after the military coup. Therefore, there is no legal aid and supporting group within country who can take action on those human rights violation.

Fitriyani
- example in Tasikmalaya: no local regulation (Perda) addressing the issues on the rights of women and children.
- more actions should be taken to build synergy between the government, society, and organisations (industries).
