If I didn't have faith, I wouldn't have anything to fall back on when things got rough or I needed help in life. For me, if I wasn't baptized as a baby, I would seek out baptism because I need help making major decisions in life.

I think there are pros and cons to being baptized as a baby and as an adult. Some pros of being baptized as a baby are that you grow up in the faith and learn about it all your life. You always have that community and support. Some cons are babies don't understand the faith before they get into it, so they don't get to make that decision for themselves. Pros for being baptized as an adult are that you DO understand what you are getting into and get to make that choice for yourself. Cons are that you may be too far into your life to consider being baptized. You may not think you need it. I think it's better to be baptized as a baby.

I get so wrapped up in what assignments are due, practicing cheer for the games, and what my friends are doing that I barely have time for God anymore. I don't want to be resisting God, but there has been so much that happened during high school that I have lost touch with him. I wish I wasn't so busy, but I feel that even with more time, I would still get distracted from God. I really only talk to him when something is going wrong, but I know I should be talking to him about more than the negatives. I have a gratitude journal that helps me keep track of all the things God has given me. I try to write something down every couple of days and that helps me connect to God in a way.

-I think I am a pilgrim and a tourist.
-Most of the time I am a tourist, I like being in control, having things go the way I planned/imagined. I let things pass me because I'm too busy or distracted to pay attention. I don't like feeling out of control, things not going my way, feeling lost or stuck. Sometimes I'm not very considerate of others and just do what I want.
-Sometimes I am a pilgrim. Once I slow down, I'm more methodical and actually think things out. I look for signs when I feel lost, and often gain clarity on situations. When I'm not focused on myself, I am more considerate of others and can appreciate the things I have.
-I think heaven is for those who live their life trying to follow in Jesus's footsteps. Jesus spent his life serving God and others. He was selfless, compassionate, patient, and asked for God's guidance when he was struggling. Those who strive to be like Jesus are the most deserving of heaven.
