 Darcy was a 14-year-old Lama raised by a single mother. His hometown located at the base of Himalayas in Bhutan which the towering mountains were all around it. And there was neither a TV nor a computer at his home, not even a decent desk for study. To resolve the situation in poor, Darcy decided to be a Lama, because he can study with other Lamas and learn more from elder Lama. On the other side, Lama’s temple was on the mountain peak, only the path zigzagged up the steep slope can arrive the temple. Consequently, the way to the temple also was a test that can test people how hard they can suffer. When they was climbing mountain, Lamas can use this time to find the meaning of their life. Therefore, Darcy was very diligent to change his predicament.

    Darcy’s story maybe very ordinary, but our group admire his spirit, he has nothing to change the well off life. However, Darcy sacrificed his childhood to learn more about humanity and knowledge. In the documentary, we can see the process of Lamas climbing mountain, they showed their hardworking and enduring hardships that belief was deeply touchinh our heart.
