Juliet is one of the main characters in Romeo and Juliet. She is the daughter of the Capulet household. She has always been very well mannered and very modest. She is also young but very obedient for her age. Juliet is not only all those things but she is also very beautiful. Her primary role in the play is to fall in love. In this story Juliet is related, not limited to blood, Lord Capulet, Lady Capulet, Tybalt, Romeo, and the Nurse. Juliet's feeling in the play lead her to fall in love with the main character, Romeo, only for her love to lead her to sacrifice her life.

Juliet bumping into Romeo was an accident she wasn't meant to fall in love with him let alone even see him. However, this leads her to fall madly in love with. Not only does she love him but she wants to marry him instead of Pairs despite the fact that that'll go against what her mother says. One line from the text that supports this is when Juliet says "If I profane with my unworthiest hand This holy shire, the gentle fine in this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims ready to stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss" (1:5: 95). What Juliet means by this is she wants to kiss Romeo therefore showing that she is in love with a man that she just met. The other line that supports my claim is "Go ask his name.- If he be married, My grave is like to be my wedding bed" (1:5: 132). Again this shows that Juliet is in love with Romeo and wants to marry him rather than marry a guy ,Paris, that she barley knows. This actions not only affect Juliet but they also affect the Nurse and Romeo. Juliet's actions affect the Nurse in a positive way because the Nurse is very happy for Juliet and will support any decision Juliet makes for the fact that she just wants to see Juliet happy. Finally Juliet's decisions also affect Romeo because he feels the exact same way about Juliet. In the end this is just the begging of their epic love story.

In Act 2 Juliet is very over eager. She barley knows Romeo yet she already wants to spend the rest of her life with him. She wants to marry Romeo as soon as she can. Romeo and Juliet go to a guy named Friar Laurence's house so that he can marry them that day. While this is happening Juliet's parents have no idea what's going on and they are getting to know Paris who Juliet is supposed to be marrying.

Juliet never planned on getting married so soon but she was a good child so she was going to obey her parents. However she did not know that she was going to meet Romeo "the love of her life". "There stays a husband to make you a wife" (2:5:69). This quote said by the nurse explains to us that Romeo is going to make Juliet his wife by the end of act 2. This just goes to show again that they are moving way too fast, in fact they just met last than 24 hrs ago. "To smile the heavens upon this holy act that after hours with sorrow chide us not!" (2:6:2). This quote was made by Friar Laurence as he was getting ready to marry Romeo and Juliet. However this emotion of over eagerness had a positive impact on everyone. Juliet is very happy that she is married to Romeo despite the fact that it's going against what her parents want. Romeo is now married to his true love and he is very happy too. Not to mention that the Nurse supports it all because she wants the best for Juliet and just wants to see her happy. This is the climax in the story, this is where everything starts to go down.

This poem also focuses on Juliet and Romeo moving too fast concluding that they could move so fast that they could break things, but also to slow to the point that they could miss something.

In acts 3, 4, and 5 Juliet does a lot of thinking and decides that she is not going to follow what her parents want but instead follow what she wants, which is to be with Romeo. Juliet says "O, bid me leap, rather than marry Paris" (4:1:77). When Juliet states this line she basically says that she would rather die than be forced into a unhappy marriage. That's when Friar Laurence comes up with a plan to make it seem like Juliet died. Juliet thinks it is a great idea and goes along with it. However, she is afraid that what is supposed to make her appear dead is actually going to kill her. "O, look methinks I see my cousin's ghost" (4:3:55). This quote explains how terrified Juliet is about waking about early and seeing all her dead relatives. But despite this fear she still goes through with her plan because she wants to live happily ever after with Romeo. These actions really affect Juliet because she finally will get to be with the love of her life. But the person it affects the most is Romeo because he doesn't know of her plans and he will later do the unthinkable. Finally, her faking her death resulted in her parents and the Nurse having to go through great despair because they thought they girl the all held so close to their hearts had died.

Sad Song by We Three Kings

This song relates to Juliet because the song talks about how two people can't live without each other just like Romeo and Juliet can't live with out each other. In the song it states "with you i'm alive" and relating it back to the love story of Romeo and Juliet they both feel happiest when they are together vs apart. Also it says "without you I feel broke, like i'm half of a whole". This relates to Juliet and Romeo because Juliet and Romeo cannot live with out each other which proves to b true when they both kill themselves because the other is dead.

Conclusion

Throughout this story Juliet's emotions definitely influenced how she acted. In the beginning of the story Juliet was very black and white. She did what she was told and there was no in between for her. But then she met Romeo and he brought color into her life. He gave her another option to life and instead of doing what Juliet's parents told her to do she started following her heart. However the biggest consequence for her actions resulted in her husband, Romeo, to take his own life. Juliet decided to think about her future with Romeo without taking the time to think about what he wanted or what the result in her faking her own death would cause the people that loved her to experience. In the end the biggest thing to take away from this story is don't rush/ push a relationship. All things happen for a reason when they happen and if they don't it clearly wasn't meant to be.
