Diversity has always been something I've embraced and thought was important and every aspect of life both personal and professional. As an agnostic lesbian, I'm already set apart from my peers and therefore I value equality and being treated with the same respect and decency and being given the same rights as others as well. As a hopeful future business owner, it will be my duty to acknowledge my employees differences, whether in religion, gender assignment, disabilities, age, or race. These qualities should not be judged, but seen as incremental to each person being who they were meant to be. Having said that, I think it is important to not discriminate and stand up for others who are being pushed down because of their differences. That's why I included a lot of pictures of different aspects coming together as one such as in the puzzle pieces and in the world picture.
