In a nutshell, my art is a mix of drawings, animations, and even some virtual reality. It's all about questioning the world around us. My style is raw and thought-provoking, and you'll find my work in places like festivals and museums.

I'm inspired by surrealism and minimalism, and I love blending old-school techniques with new tech. My art isn't just about looking good; it's about making you think and raising social awareness.

My name is Paula Valenzuela Galleguillos, I'm a Chilean graphic designer and associate lecturer in graphic design at the Universidad de Chile.

Up until now, I've mostly been involved in theoretical research into animation. I've been looking at things like semiotics, the analysis of audiovisual works and the design work that goes into the artistic direction of productions of this type.

My main interest is the uncanny (based on what Freud wrote in his 1919 essay) and the different ways in which it can manifest itself visually, from the chosen animation techniques to the design of the character and its inner world.

I am excited to have more direct contact with animation and to finally take the step from the theoretical to the practical. I hope to learn a lot from the academic body and my peers.

My name is Victoria Pater (she/her). I was born in Canada and moved around the USA before settling in New Jersey. I studied Visual Media Arts and minored in Pre-Law at Emerson College in Boston, where I developed my passion for Animation and Sound. I began animating with Stop Motion and 2D techniques around 2019, and recently, I’ve been expanding my skills into 3D animation as well. My main focus right now is going out of my comfort zone a bit and experiment more. Currently, I'm playing with mixed media and combining different techniques and materials into my visuals! I started with mixing digital 2D and 3D and have moved onto playing with traditional mediums like lino printing; would love to try making automata and mixing those in too! Maybe one day I’ll try projection mapping, or making holograms, and adding all sorts of mixed media goodness into it! The sky’s the limit!

Hopefully this introduction wasn't too much of a word salad haha. Looking forward to meeting everyone and collaborating on some fun projects together! I can be a bit quiet at first, but can’t wait to get to know you all! :D

My love for Japanese anime inspired my interest in animation, so I practised mainly 2d animation skills in my previous study. I also love working on environment and concept art for games and animations, probably because it is easier than animating.

In this programme, I want to explore more experimental and mixed-media animation. This is inspired by a zoetrope installation project I am a part of and this piece showed me that there are more equally playful ways to animate things.

I hope we can all learn and practise animation in our style and have so much fun. Thanks for reading!

My name is Dominic. I'm from the UK and I studied Graphic Design at Loughborough University where I became passionate about animation. I practice 2D animation. My style is minimalist and geometric. Born and based in London. I'm a stop-motion animator and model-maker. I studied Production Arts for Screen at UAL Wimbledon. Had some experience in the art department as a prop maker but I've always wanted to pursue animation further and push myself out of my comfort zone. My favourite stop-motion film is Mary and Max. I want to experiment with different techniques and materials. I'm currently working on a short film about healing and self-preservation. Very excited :)

I'm an experimental animation artist from China, and I'm super excited to be starting this journey with all of you at LCC! My focus is mainly on hand-drawn animation and stop-motion using mixed materials, and I love diving into critical themes that are often based on my own personal experiences or thoughts about the world. A lot of my projects start with a small idea and then grow deeper as I work on them.

I'm really looking forward to learning more about animation techniques, exploring different ways of storytelling, and seeing how other artists approach similar themes. Can't wait to get inspired by everyone here and exchange ideas!

My Name is Abigail, I'm 22 and I've been studying animation for 4-years now. I'm from East-Sussex and I have lived in the country-side my entire life and this is my first time living in a City!

I've worked on Tv-commercials, specialising in 2D animation. And various projects within Falmouth Uni. I'm very passionate about hand-drawn animation.

My name is Ella Corrieri. I am a passionate fan of animation, a former Moving Image student and a lover of bright colours.

My dream is to work in visual development for animated projects, I love character and environment design and concept art. I have previously experimented with lots of different types of animation from 2d narrative short films to 3d motion graphics to video installation art, I tend to keep my fingers in a lot of pies.

My main influences are colours, complex emotions, sci-fi/ cyberpunk, jellyfish and the ocean.

I am so excited to meet everyone and hopefully work together on some very cool stuff! and also talk about our favourite animated movies :)

I was brought up and educated in a very large but a bit isolated city in China in an academic family.  I am interested in exploring the relations btw humans, the ever-changing natural environment and the fast-advancing technology world.  

During my BA Animation study in China, I have made films covering these topics.  

Since completing BA in Animation in the summer of 2023, I have been preparing my applications for postgraduate studies in London whilst self-learning 3D animation skills.  Whilst study MA Animation, I am keen to develop my practice in mixed media techniques and gain a better understanding of the critical academic approach to animation making.  It is this relationship between practice and theory that interests me most; especially in the face of the exciting and fast changing era of AI.  

My name is Aaron. I was born in Bermuda but spent most of my life growing up in Toronto. I previously studied Communications and Media Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, along with part time work as a 2D illustrator.

I am fascinated by all forms of storytelling and would love to master animation as a medium to bring my vision to life. I am inspired by creators who are able to create a compelling story while using comedy, horror, and stunning visuals. I am mostly interested in 2D animation, but I definitely think that blending mediums can enhance the viewer experience which is always my goal.

I'm super excited to meet you guys, and hopefully create some cool projects together!

My undergraduate major was game design, but I found that I fell in love with 2D animation during my study, and I made some interesting short films together with my roommates in my spare time. Therefore, I’m gale to continue my study in LCC.

I hope to broaden my horizons and improve my professionalism in the next 15 months, and I am also looking forward to making some short films with different styles and challenging myself.

My name is Kav ( he/they, ) and I'm a 2D generalist from India! I did my BA in Animation at Nottingham Trent University. My main interest lies in animation & visual direction, and I love writing and working with people!!

I quite enjoy writing stories about people in places, and a lot of my work revolves around the human experience and what exactly it means to be a person. I'm a big fan of a lot of media like anime, video games, so if you're into something there's a high likelihood I am too! I am super excited to create some cool things with you guys :D

I'm Ragaey Sameh, you can call me Rego

I am an Egyptian Motion and animation artist with over 6 years of experience in animating and teaching the new generations back home how to be good animators.

My BA is in business administration, and I managed to shift it into art through self education and scholarships.

My art is focused on 2d digital animation using software and mixed media. I am obsessed with the vintage 20's and 30's Disney animation style. I believe that art is a way of expressing the feelings and ideas that we can't express with other senses.

My goal from this Master is to develop my artistic and technical skills to dive in the British and European industry, using my cultural background to tell stories that deserve to be recognized globally.
