My name is Leonardo Savka, and for my enrichment assessment I decided to explore the country of Chile. The three videos I watched to help me analyze the country were "Campeones Nacionales de Cueca 2017 Homenaje en Angol," "Top 10 Places to Visit in Chile," and "The 500-year Secret Conflict In Chile." These videos allowed me to glimpse into the cultural aspect of Chile, especially their national dance: La Cueca. This dance is a two person dance, usually featuring a man and a woman, that utilizes articles such as handkerchiefs and traditional clothing; the combinations create a beautiful dance. I also learned that the Atacama Desert is the driest desert in the world, but offers many unique experiences and locations: take the lagoons and volcanoes as an example. The most interesting thing I learned was about a very serious conflict relating to the Mapuche people, an indigenous group, which like so many other indigenous peoples, have had their land seized by European settlers. The region of Aruacania, the homeland of the Mapuche, have long been under the control of the Chilean government; however, as one would imagine, the Mapuche aren't content with having their land stolen and are fighting to take it back, especially since their homeland is being used to fuel the export of lumber from Chile. Overall, I would love to visit Chile for it's beautiful sights and culture.

The most interesting thing to me was the Inca empire I found it really interesting that it fell so fast. And how it was only 500 years ago and how the Spanish had guns and other advanced weapons but the Incas where not there yet its almost like two different worlds. I learned that boliva is a poor country. But its natural beauty is really cool like mountains, the salt dessert and the city made of teracota. And it was home to the inca empire.

And yes I would visit Bolivia I find it really cool and interesting and would love to go if I had the chance to.

Hello! My name is Giancarlo Gonzalez, and I've chosen to write about Mexico! The 3 videos I watched are "Geography Now! MEXICO", "Mariposa Monarca el Dia de Muertos en Michoacan (Narrado por Will Smith)", and "This Chef Keeps the Flavors of Ancient Mexico Alive".

One of the most interesting things I learned is that Mexico has one of the oldest universities in North America, UNAM or National Autonomous University of Mexico. How interesting!

A fact about Mexico is that it's actually the most populated Spanish speaking country! Another fact is that Mexico City is its capital! One last fact about Mexico is it has its own holidays! Such as Dia de los Muertos.

I'd love to visit Mexico anytime, it's a beautiful place with many sights.

The most interesting fact that I learned about Bolivia is how diverse it is in people there is a very high amount of indigenous people there. Some facts I learned about Bolivia is there are 37 official languages, two capitals and has one of the most biodiverse national parks, Parque Nacional Amboró. This country is a place I would want to visit because I love nature and seeing different cultures and people, and Bolivia has all of that which would make it a perfect place to visit.

The second video I chose, called "Art & Culture in Spain," allows us to observe various icons, paintings, buildings, as well as folk dances. When looking at Spanish culture, I get the impression that I am entering an old fairy tale, where everything is incredibly beautiful, small, and magical.

In the third video, "Amazing Places to Visit in Spain," we learn about the most interesting places in Spain and their history. For example, the medieval complex of Granada began construction in 666 A.C. These three facts that I listed are the most interesting facts from these videos, which provided me with new information and truly surprised me. But the most interesting fact among them is the date when the medieval complex of Granada began to be built, because it is a very old building, and therefore has a rich and interesting history. I believe that someday I will be able to visit Spain, walk through its beautiful streets, try the local cuisine, and experience the local culture and people.

The most interesting thing about Bolivia is it's incredible cultural diversity. When it comes to food, Spain has a very big selection, like Fabada asturiana. It is a spanish bean stew, filled with white beans and meat. Blood sausage, chorizp, or pork is the usual meat of choice. There is also another dish in spain called Cochinillo. Its a very popular spanish dish found mostly in the city of Segovia. This meal features a suckling pig roasting on an outdoor spit. Roasting the pig creates extremely tender meat that doesn't require a knife to cut. And when it come to spanish music, you a variety amount of instruments and perform dances with this music. One of the most popular instruments in Spain is the guitar for it is played in most music videos and most street performances. And while dancing to music, they do alot of movement with there feet. the things that interest me about Spain is the food and how they cook it. In America they cook it is the way that in america its un heard of. And also love how there beaches are truly beautiful compared to here. In my opinion, I would truly want to visit Spain, which is truly a clean and beautiful place. It has everything a person can want in a vacation or a sweet honeymoon.

The country I chose is Bolivia. The three videos I chose to watch on Bolivia were ‘introducing bolivia’, ‘ultimate bolivia food tour’, and ‘a super quick history of bolivia’. One of the most interesting things I learned about this country is that it is landlocked. I found this interesting because out of the twelve countries in South America, only two are landlocked. Three facts I learned about Bolivia through this activity is that Bolivia is in South America, it is home to 11.8 million people, and Bolivia has lots of street foods shown in ‘ultimate bolivia food tour’. This is a place I would visit because it is full of diversity with new culture and foods to try.

My name is Aaliyah Nealy and I’ve chosen Mexico as my country. The three videos I selected were “This Chef Keeps the Flavors of Ancient Mexico Alive”, “Frida Kahlo: The woman behind the legend - Iseult Gillespie”, and “MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY EXPLAINED BY A MEXICAN.” Out of everything I learned, the most interesting fact was how the people of Mexico celebrate Mexican Independence Day. They gather at midnight on September 15^th and then at midnight, they will listen to a speech from the former president. They shout “viva!” (long live) throughout the speech and then at the end, three bells are rung along with a firework show. Three facts I learned from the videos were that of a woman named Abigail Mendoza (very famous chef in Mexico) who keeps cuisine traditions alive, Frida Kahlo (a well-known artist) who had a complex backstory in which she incorporated her past within pieces of her work, and the history behind Mexican Independence Day. After all I have gathered, I would love to go and visit Mexico one day while learning and embracing the diverse culture.

I watched three informative videos: "The Inca Empire and People's Daily Life," "Geography Now! Bolivia," and "A Super Quick History of Bolivia." From these videos, I learned that Bolivia is home to Salar de Uyuni, one of the largest salt flats globally. During the summer, it is a vast, bright, almost endless surface. During the winter, it is a shiny surface. I also learned Bolivia once had access to the Atlantic until it was taken away by Chile. I also learned that the country of Bolivia is home to over 11.8 million people. Bolivia also has many cultural offerings, such as a variety of different cultural dishes. Many of the dishes are served throughout the streets of Bolivia. Bolivia is also known for having the highest capital city in the world, La Paz, which is around 12,000 feet above sea level. Another interesting fact is that the main road leading to La Paz is the Yungas Road, and it is also known as "The Death Road.". I would say that this is a country I would want to visit in the future eventually because I want to learn some more about the culture due to the fact that it is so much different than my own. Im always very open to discovering and dipping my toes in something new.

The videos I chose were the animated history of Spain, Art & Culture in Spain, and History of Spain: a brief history of Spain. One interesting fact I learned about this country is  the early presence of the Tardessos civilization, one of the first in the Iberian Peninsula, around 1000 BCE.

The ,Tartessos civilization, one of the earliest in the Iberian Peninsula, is believed to have a significant influence on later cultures, like the Phoenician's and Greeks. The moors conquered much of Spain in 1711 A.D., which led to the cultural and architectural fusion seen today, with landmarks like the Alhambra as enduring symbols. Finally, Spain, strategic position attracted the Romans, who transformed the region with monumental architecture and infrastructure, leaving behind a lasting legacy seen in landmarks like the aqueducts in the city of Merida. 

Should I visit Spain? I would, because of the country is rich history; making it an exciting destination for history visits. I would want to experience Spain's artistic heritage through the works of Picasso and Dalí, explore, stunning, architectural, landmarks, and enjoy is vibrant culture. Spain offers a mix of history, art, and culture that is definitely worth exploring and visiting.

The City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia was the most interesting because of the architecture. It also holds the largest aquarium in Europe.

Madrid is the capital as well as the largest city, it is 3^rd largest county in all of Europe. Cape Finistere is where the end of the world was once believed to be, and Spain was once part of the Roman Empire.

I would love to visit Spain, I even considered doing a study abroad program there. It is a beautiful country, and I would love to learn about and absorb its illustrious culture.
