Today before lunch I viewed a research video about how important secondary research is, it explained how if the correct research is not conducted throughout the project, the outcome cane be terribly wrong and sometimes offensive. This video definitely helped me to improve my knowledge of secondary research and how to correctly conduct it within my project. A problem that I faced today was finding research sources that relate to the theme of my FMP. I came to the solution of trying to find book form resources for research so I went to the college library and looked at books related to my project and similar situations related to my project. I found two books which were related to my project and similar situations. The skills I have learnt today is that I need so much secondary research and if I don't get enough I will not pass this unit. Before lunch myself and a group went into town centre and spoke to some people. We asked them questions about the projects we were making. However, I didn't talk to anyone about my project because my project is personal and if it was me walking around town I wouldn't want to be stopped to talk about my personal home life. I will be conducting a focus group/interview while at home so I will have opinions from family members and friends. This will help me in the future because I could use these people again in future research if I can't get any other people within the public in town. The skills I have learnt today is how to correctly conduct a vox pop and how to be more confident because even though I didn't ask any questions of my own I helped other people in my class with speaking to the public and creating questions for them to ask. This will help me in the future as it will make me more organised within any future projects within media. The skills I have learnt today is that I work so much better when I have headphones in and just crack on with what I have to d during the lesson. Another skill I have learnt today is they making sure everything is in the right showbiz folder and on the right padlet wall makes everything a lot more clearer for myself and for the teachers marking my work. I didn't have any problems while editing and didn't learn anything new because i knew how to edit before. I had to type up my target audience and target market research. I am working towards a merit but I'm happy with a pass if I get that. I will be continuing this tomorrow along with editing the rest of my production. Hopefully uploading my production by late Thursday or early Friday morning.
