Lizzie could make 12 exact pounds of clay. I figured this out by looking which numbers would equal 12 so then we realized that 3 x 4 = 12. so then we took notice that 4 1/2 x 2 = 9. so then we searched for a project that would give us 3 since 9 + 3 = 12 so then we found 1 1/2 then we multiplied the number 1 1/2 by 2 which gave us a total of 3 so then we added 3+9

Lizzie could make 6 small bowls with the 12 pounds of clay because if you add 1 1/2 6 times it would equal to 12 pounds. I figured out by using repeated addition.

Lizzie could make 2 dinner plates and 2 small bowls. How we figured this out is by first adding the largest number 2 times (dinner plate), and then we saw that it equaled 9. Then we went with something smaller (small bowls), and then we added the small bowls and it equal 3. So, we added 9+3 and it equal 12. So, she will need to make 2 dinner plates, and 2 small bowls.

Lizzie could make a large bowl, and a mug or (3 1/4 + 3/4) x 3 which is exactly 12. I figured this out by only using 2 of the Projects because it says, "...she does not need to make all of the projects" which means we didn't have to use all of the clay projects so we decided to only use two that can be multiplied by 3 as an expression.
