his grandparents did a great job of homeschooling yunho until he was seventeen. they taught him everything that they could, all while mixing regular human studies with the magical ones.

it was around when he concluded all of his human studies that his grandparents told him that the magic had skipped his parents' generation. and that was why despite it breaking their hearts, his parents had willingly let him live with his grandparents. he still saw his parents every now and again, usually around the holidays, but otherwise, he rarely saw them.

he learned from an early age that the majority of humans couldn't wield magic like he and his family could. he learned that those who were different were often shunned, outcasted. however instead of letting that send him down a dangerous spiral, he embraced himself more. he embraced the solitude and instead turned to learning even more about the world beyond humans and the mundane.

travelling the world ultimately led him to lunar city. he knew that there were plenty of humans residing there, but he also knew how many supernaturals had ended up on the isle too.

it hasn't been too long, maybe just under a year since he arrived at lunar city, but he loves it, loves the energy and peoples, even if there is ever the mystery of why everything came to be the way it did. he likes to believe that it was a mix of genuine curiosity as well as fate which brought him here.

☾ the problem was simple, you needed a cover up of a tattoo from the past (your choice whether it was a silly drunk mistake, or to be rid of the memories attached the tattoo). time and time again you've thought about covering it up with something new, but you never had to courage or even an idea of what to cover it with. until you stumbled upon the tattoo shop yunho works at, and by what good graces he has some free time.
