My purpose is that I am striving for a better understanding  about what families have to go through when they get the bad news cancer is taking over. I want to be able to know how to support those who may or may not be struggling emotionally. 
My reasoning behind why I want to do this is I would love to be a nurse. I want to be that nurse that helps more than just physical needs. I have a passion to help others and heal them. I love to build connections with people to help them and learn more about the world. I would love to be a nurse for kids with cancer or be a traveling nurse. Going on this journey will strengthen my knowledge the future I want to build.
Being successful with this journey is sharing joy with those who haven’t felt it in awhile. A true win is knowing I was capable of making a difference or an impact in someone’s life. I may not be able to heal them or make their problems go away, but just making someone smile is honestly is a successful goal for me I would like to accomplish.

     I plan to meet with Ms. Bailey who is a mother of child who had cancer. I reached out to her and we have set up times to tour the hospitals and interview the different kind of chemo nurses. Unfortunately, we were hit with a pandemic, which has caused my plans for this project to spiral. I have been trying to process the devastating news of how our senior had ended. I reached out to Ms. Bailey and asked if we can still continue to proceed with our plans, although they will have to be adjusted a bit. I am still waiting for a response. I am very sad that I am not able to meet the chemo nurses we had planned for me to meet and I can't visit the hospitals or even meet this family. I was very lucky to meet Bailey and her daughter the other day. I had gotten the binder full of her history. I get to skim through the medications she had, how she felt, and so much more ! I am very excited! I spoke with Bailey on the phone how about pictures she had sent and to discuss the binder. I found out that Braedi's treatments caused more issues than solved. Sadly, the treatment gave her so many problems that was unheard of. She had mold in her lungs. A picture of her lungs with mold, looked like barbed-wire, it was called aspergillosis and it s very rare in 2 year olds, let alone kids. It took a year and a half to treat, with doctors all around the world helping, it was as deadly as the cancer. Ms. Bailey had explained this picture to me. This is Braedi after her spinal tap chemo, which she had a lot of.
