         <description><![CDATA[<div>The next PM, Brian Mulroney, tried to enact constitutional amendments that would bring Quebec back into the "constitutional fold." They would recognize Quebec as a "distinct society" within Canada and give it and other provinces more power in certain fields.<br>Quebeckers thought they were getting too little, while most non-Quebeckers thought Quebec was getting too much. Quebec has been recognized as "distinct society" of some sort and the Quebecois have been recognized as a "nation within a united Canada."<br><br></div>]]></description>

Instead of separating from the rest of Canada, Quebec has been more concerned about too much immigration within Quebec. </div>]]></description>
