It was developed by Ralf Wörzberger. For pedestrians and cyclists the bridge offers a curved overpass over the Cranger Straße in the shape of a dragon skeleton whose ribs serve as a holder for the railing. Dragon's neck and head are turned back, as if the dragon is looking down at its visitors. The opening of the 1.5-million-euro building has been delayed several times. The reasons for this were, among other things, planning shortcomings and the increased construction costs due to the increased world market price for steel. Although the building suggests a rather light construction, the total mass amounts to 198 tons. The Dragon Bridge is 165 meters long without the dragon's head. It is a pity that in the past the bridge has repeatedly been the victim of vandalism. Thus, the bridge was smeared with graffiti or locks were attached to the bridge, which had to be removed regularly.

Old boat lift – Altes Schiffshebewerk HenrichenburgThe old Herichenburg boat lift is located on the border of Waltrop, a small town (population of 29.000) in the north of the Ruhr-area next to the Münsterland. It is a boat lift at the Dortmund-ems-Kanal a channel in the Ruhr-area. In august 1899, the Kaiser Wilhelm II opened it. Since 1969, it is closed and today it is a museum of industrial history. The Henrichenburg boat lift has two head towers connected with a bridge. Next to the lift is the Machine House. In the towers a stairway leads up to the bridge, from here you have a fantastic view. Also there is a port in front of the lift. There are historical ships and implements. The lift overcomes a height of 14 meters. The construction is made of steel. A water filled tank, where the ships drive in, has a weight of 3100 tons. Five cylindrical floats in 33-meter deep water filled wells supported the tank. The ship drive in the water filled tank and then the ship drive down like a human in a normal lift to another height.
