It is clear that since "In Rainbows" by Radiohead an entire culture of artists have emerged that take music from certain genres and turn it into something else. For example in the photo above, I posted a picture of Lucian, and mentioned his remix of "Here" by Alessia Cara. This song is a perfect example of why remixing is so important, this once slow tempo song was turned into almost a techno dance music. I do believe however it is extremely important to play tribute to the original artist, being able to take different parts of music and manipulate it is part of the generation I grew up with. Apps like Soundcloud are great platforms for young remix artists to promote their work, intact I think the majority of the music within my saved playlists come from remix artists. Of course there will always be new music that hasn't stemmed or come from past pieces, but the music created by these remix artists created a culture of music and a community of people who listen to them.
