as the dog grows up he questions his perception of reality and what his role is in life.

There is a moment where the dog is diagnosed with cancer and the owner is afraid that she is going to lose her best friend.

It teaches us that you don't realize how much you love something/someone until they are in trouble.

Genre:
Coming of age, dramedy (comedy elements for the majority with a climax and dramatic element at the end)

Mood:
 Uplifting but also Uncanny due to the talking dog. (Relatable if that is a mood) 
Filmed like a reality TV show (dog segments)

The main concept is delving into the problems of human life and relationships but imposed upon a dog.  It allows for ideas of mortality and melancholic routine to be tackled in a more lighthearted way.

Some of us have had to experience the struggles of having a sick pet or a pet with cancer, and a lot like this dog we want to try and keep our minds away from it and spend as much quality time with them as we can. 
Seeing this from the pet’s point of view was touching, like having closure on our own pets’ feelings. The ability to relate with this dog on an emotional level was very impressionable.

They interviewed a dog which is quite unique. The dog was asked a question: " How do you deal with your loneliness?". The film shows several scenes where the dog is alone and he stays by the window. This also happened a lot with people in the pandemic. People were forced to stay at home and they can only see their outside world through the windows. Is it ironic?

The colour palette consists of lots of greens due to the setting being mainly outside in a grass field. Music is subtle, the main theme being played in the beginning and end of the film. But there are other music themes like when the boy runs away after fighting with his father and brother, it plays as he walks down the road. When the dad decides to humour his son and he tows the time machine car a unique theme plays for the scene. From the blueish tint from the post-editing to the music. Although the film comes off with a colder vibe the colors become vibrant with the dogs emotions and colder with them as well. 
 The shots are very personal and tight to give the more personal effect. There are several mid shots where the focus is the dog but the background and setting is clear. 
The music is fast paced, and the sound design is good, from birds to key jingles it is all included.
