This song is one of my originals that I happened to have unfinished. At the time all I had was a guitar riff. However, when I introduced this song to Ben, Rayanne, and Shannon we eventually made something of this song.

Ben was the first person to add something to the riff as I was playing and it was basically acting as a harmonic to what I was playing. Shannon shortly added a jazz like beat which went really well with the two guitars. 

We proceeded to create a a song structure which worked very well and had little thought to it luckily. Once we had the song structure down we then started working on lyrics with Rayanne which took a couple of weeks but we found some old lyrics that I had stored away on my phone, me and Rayanne then worked on the lyrics and proceeded to complete them.

This week we have recorded the song in the studio and added bass which Ben played for the song. after leveling out all the audio the song began to take shape and now all we need to do is add a few more things like backing vocals and added guitar licks.]]> 2017-02-27 14:04:14 UTC https://padlet.com/joshdude14/cs7tlk30oaec/wish/156401509 joshdude14 https://padlet.com/joshdude14/cs7tlk30oaec/wish/160457506 this song was originally written in 2015 but I never changed anything and it was quite basic with no bridge. 

I got inspired by a song by extreme called "more than words" and the string picking technique they use in the beginning of the song.

This song is really meaningful and I used most of my first songs aspects in order to make this song. I was adding more to my original at the time and this helped me create a slightly country esk tone to the song.

City Nightmare was created with Ben as the guitarist and the lyrics we composed by both of us. Ben had written a couple of lines that eventually became this songs chorus.

This song is about recently breaking up with someone and no matter what you do, you can't escape seeing those memories over and over again before you see yourself becoming distant with everyone you knew and loved.

Ben found some old riffs that we previously used in a song that fell through eventually but we saw the opportunity to use it here.

I've started using a pick and a slightly different picking style, this works really well when transitioning to the first verse so I decided to keep it.

This is a country song that was put together when Rayanne and I put our lyrics together to create this simple country song. 

The verses were Rayannes and the chorus and bridge were mine. The songs about feeling very down about yourself and feeling anything but the correct feeling you want. 

We listened to alot of country artists such as Eric church, Dolly, and Brett Eldridge to find the correct styles we needed to get the right feel for the song.

The song is verse/chorus and has a very simple structure to it. this is song number 4 and a cover of Florida Georgia Line's "Sippin' on Fire"  
I made this video a little while ago but it is played exactly the same way. I changed the way this song is sang, for example: during the choruses and the verses, the song takes on a much simpler solo acoustic approach which makes the song much softer and changes the tone completely.

I originally wanted to include whistling into the instrumental parts of this song.
