         <description><![CDATA[<div>Great Zimbabwe was a major empire that traded with many other places in the world such as China and India. The empire was built on gold and the profit they made through trade.&nbsp;<br>Great Zimbabwe had a sophisticated hierarchy. Evidence of Great Zimbabwe comes from the stone fort located in southern modern Zimbabwe. More evidence comes from pottery shards from many places around world that were all found in one area. The fort's many passages are believed to be made&nbsp;for the higher class people to avoid the lower class people.</div>]]></description>

They also had many smaller cities, buildings made of mud bricks and or temples where they worshipped their own gods. There was also extremely large burial ground much like our cemeteries we have today. They had a form of government as well which at the time was a king.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

In Kerma, a giant mud-brick temple was the center of the city, and there was evidence of other buildings surrounding the temple.  There were also very large burial sites for kings, where numerous (hundreds) of sacrafices were burried with him, so that he may have people to serve him in the afterlife.</div>]]></description>
